A bilateral naval exercise was conducted between the Turkish and Pakistan Navy at North Arabian sea, with an aim to enhance interoperability and contribute towards regional maritime security. The exercise at sea covered a number of serials including Anti Air Warfare Operations, Communication Drills and Joint Maneuvers by the participating surface ships, aircraft and helicopters from both the sides.

Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations), Vice Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and Commander Pakistan Fleet, Vice Admiral Arif Ullah Hussaini along with Turkish Mission Commander witnessed the exercise onboard the Turkish Ship BUYUKADA. The flag officers highly appreciated the professional competence of both the Navies and expressed their satisfaction over the level of proficiency displayed during the exercise. This bilateral exercise will provide valuable opportunity for navies of both countries to learn from each other’s experiences and refine warfare tactics.

Turkish ship TCG BUYUKADA is on a goodwill visit to Pakistan. The regular exchange visits and conduct of bilateral exercises by both the navies are testimony of trust and cooperation between the two countries. In the same context, the current visit of Turkish Navy Ship BUYUKADA will further enhance the defence ties and mutual collaboration between the two counties in general and the two navies in particular.

This is a step in the RIGHT direction but we need MUCH MUCH more collaboration and joint work in ALL fields and alleviate our relationship with Turkey to the same level as that with China

Woovvv perfect images ! Thanks for sharing brtohers !

I would like to see Istanbul class frigates with Hisar-ORF SAM missiles + Korkut-D CIWS + 16 Atmaca SSM to be constructed in Karachi shipyard.

@cabatli_53 this Milgem Corvette is it equipped with Genisis Program ? like Turkish OHP's ?

Milgem class: Genesis combat management system
Istanbul Class: Genesis Advent combat management system which is able to perform complicated network operations such as firing missile to a target detected by other naval radars to stay invisible...etc

I class (Istanbul class) is actually a Milgem with bigger displacement to house more missiles on board. Not current design (99m) but Lengthened variant (110-115m) called I class will have 16 cell VLS onboard.

BTW, Turkish institutes are working on EM rail-gun prototypes called "Sapan" as an alternative air defense solution on naval ships as well.

Elhamdulillah!!! Who could have thought that the Turkish Navy will be visiting brotherly countries sailing on the advanced ships made by them?? Moreover, offering them for exports????

On a side note, great to see Pashas and Admirals with beard, a common practice during the Ottoman times...

there is so much both nations can learn from eachother. Turkey has a strong modern army and Pakistan has a battle hardened experienced army. It's a win win situation for both to share their valuable resources and experiences. Turkish technology and Pakistani nukes a deadly alliance for sure!

I am not a nationalist as I do not claim my race is superior above any. Arab nations are equally our allies however I am not convinced the Gulf states have the same affection of friendship and brotherhood as shown by the people of Pakistan towards them. Sure there is a huge Pakistani diaspora living and workin in the Gulf states but the respect given in return is not of the same value. Hence, Pakistan has a historical relationship with Turkey and should do the utmost to enhance relations in all fields.

An equivalent of Babur with a range of 1000km is what Turkey is developing for own Navy frigates and submarines at present. Nobody can know What is going on at background.
