Wikipedia says commissioning date 27 September 2023 for the Istanbul Class. Any news on the TF-2000-class destroyer? and TCG Piri Reis?

TF2000 will start after they finished I-class project and HISAR class OPV. These HISAR are cheap to produce and when needed they are able to arm them heaviliy 10 pieces. After that they will start TF-2000. If everything goes with no problem 2028+, MILDEN is more important then TF-2000 if you ask me.


I class will be armed heavily, it can armed wth 64 SIPER missiles. Or 32 SIPER with 32 ESSM/HISAR-N. And not not to forget 16 ATMACA. No monkey ships anymore for the Turkish navy like other buying ships with 40km range missiles .

CENK-S AESA radar, 76mm MKE naval gun, the only thing what is not made in Turkey is the engines. And that will be solved later. I class will be the first step to be a blue water navy. Give it 10 years....

MILDEN will be a while not? I heard 2030s, after all the 214 boats in the Reis class are done. Thats the last piece of the naval puzzle I think, that and the aircraft carrier. Then everything would have been build under domestic capacity.

If the project goes like this, MILDEN will be build earlier. The MILDEN project is officially started with conceptual and after 2025 they are planning to build the submarine. Ther is no conceptual design for the the TF-2000.

Over the years Destroyers keep getting bigger and bigger 11K tonnage ships would be called cruisers back in the day. The Ticonderoga-class cruiser cruisers at 9.5K are now smaller than the Italian "Destroyer". lol

Frigates are now the size of Destroyers, Corvettes are now the size of Frigates, and Destroyers are now the size of Cruisers. lol

He needs to be banned permanently,he has been told SO MANY TIMES to stop this kind of behavior and there he is again,provoking! Writing such comments. Putting biased titles and then getting angry when people criticize his narration.

he isn't getting banned b/c he is not breaking any rules. Posting pics of weapons and stats and comparisons isn't against the rules. He likes his weapons and he likes posting them, for whatever reason, some people like seeing the comparisons and some people don't. It is what it is.

Pissing you off isn't against the rules, unless he is actively targeting you, which he isn't.

At this point one of you gotto decide to block the other, and I've spoken to both parties on the matter. But it seems you enjoy fighting/arguing with him, so its not going to happen.

The classification of war ships is very confusing for layman like myself. TCG İstanbul is a ship that belongs to the İstif class, right? What is Milgem 5, though?
