Wow well done to Turkey made its own LCM for the LHD?? I did not know that this is indeed very big news

not the fact that they built a small craft but just shows Turkeys amphibious ambitions and how they envisage the entire programme

I don't really know what was your intention with that cynical post.
But the whole LHD is being constructed in the same shipyard which LCM is made, in Turkey.
All engineers and workers in production are Turkish. Even detailed production blue print, piping and cabling jobs being made by Turkish Engineers.

Meanwhile Turkey has constructed several large LSTs, Frigate, Corvette, Replenishment ships, submarine rescue ships and submarines since 1970 and prior.

MKEK 76/62mm Naval Gun project has reached the final stage. The fire control system to be used in Naval Gun is developing by ASELSAN.

Features of MKEK 76/62 mm Naval Gun:

• Optimal max range, 16 km.
• Barrel diameter is 76 mm and length 4700 mm.
• Barrel has water cooling system.
• The rate of fire is 80 rounds / min.
• The weapon system weighs 7500 kg without ammunition and 8500 kg with ammunition.
• The weapon loader system has a rotating ammo rack with 70 ammunition capacity.
• It is effective against air, land and sea targets.

Is this project support by OTO Melara or totally built from scratch ?

Features of the ADA corvette
ADA corvettes were designed under the Turkish MILGEM program, to have modern coastal warships with a reduced radar equivalent surface, equipped with patrol and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. The maximum speed of the ADA corvettes is 29 knots, their autonomy is 29 days, and their armament consists of “Harpoon” anti-ship missiles, RIM-116 surface-to-air missiles designed by General Dynamics, and Mark 49 torpedoes

The statement did not disclose what systems specifically were ordered. The financial value of the contracts was not provided.
the first of the corvettes is to be built in Turkey, while the rest are to produced in Okean Shipyard.

Since Turkey is out of the F35 programme I would consider these options for the LHD

whats the latest on the Naval variant of the Hurjet

and whats the latest on the Naval TB3 UAV or is it classes as a UCAV?
