Turkish Naval Programs

atlas elctronic demand alot of money for adaptation of other torpedos so greeks buy some dm2a4 otherwise they would havetype 214 subs without torpedos

Greece does not have dm2a4, they are using SUT's on 214 subs

Confirming the above. We are using SST-3/4s and SUTs on our submarines, even the 214s. We had a program/competition for a modern heavyweight torpedo running for a formidable amount of years, with the finalists being the Atlas Elektronik DM2A4 and the WASS Black Shark. Black Shark objectively won the contest, and then we went to Thales/TKMS/HDW/AE for integrating the system on the 209s/214s and got such a ridiculous quote that the program was canceled then and there.

The whole thing - together with the HN 214 program - was so surreal that it actually makes a pretty good horror story for military buffs in campfires etc. Maybe I'll post more about it sometime in the future.

Saudi have gone for Spanish corvette

They should have bought without any doubt the ADA class

They paid $1.2 billion for 5 units

Pakistan’s 4 units were $1 billion

Almost same price

to be honest I am kinda glad. Saudi Arabia has a poorly trained military and the mistakes of the user is usually attributed to the product. In other words, if Saudi Arabia gets our products and doesn't use them properly the blame may fall on our products. 90% of the trash talk that Patriot SAMs get today is due to poor usage in Saudi Arabia.
Of course, they would never buy such things from us as long as there are other alternatives, because they see Turkey as their rival in the region (as evident from the fiasco they created with Qatar).

Arabs are under full controll of US and UK so forget them, they can never make decision which will make them independent from US or which would bring them closer to some of muslim countrys esp. if TR is involved cuz US wants to controll them anf ofxourse to take their money and keep them at lowest possible level regarding technology.

In fact, Saudis were very enthusiastic about getting the ADA corvette.. Even at the AFED exhibition, MILGEM corvetes were displayed in the local production concept.

The Turkish side offered the best offer in many respects. Open architecture, optional customizations and maximum local contribution. Also, an offer of the same level as the European shipyards and much lower than the US.Turkish side also prepared a production plan for the first ship's laying down on the 9th month.

MILGEM corvetes are not an end product. The first step in a long-standing warship development program. Obviously, I would be sad that such a significant accumulation would go so cheaply. (By the way, I'm not talking about money. Financial difficulties can be solved in a variety of ways. The real question is , future of Diriyah dynasty.)
