SMART-S ( "smart ***" > Dutch humor, I suppose ) mk2 is licence produced in Turkey by Aselsan. In cooperation with the radar's producer, Thales Nederland, Turkish defense electronics company Asalsan manufactures the radar under license for eight FFG-7 frigate upgrades and one new-build MILGEM. The STING EO Mk2 used is also a Thales Netherlands product. The cooperation between the two companies, also includes Sting EO Mk2 system and subsystems from Thales. The SCOUT Mk2 surface surveillance radar was an option (not sure if taken up).

Yavuz and Barbados classes (Meko 200T ships) uses Thales NL (HSA) DA08 2D search radar, STIR-2.4 and STIR-18.
