Turkish Missile Programs

I think our type 209 submarines have swim away mode for torpedos, thats important because otherwise air bubbles go to sea surface after firing torpedo makes detection of sub more easy, our akya torpedo range is not so bad interm of range 15km at 40knot,and I think its range get more than double on slower speeds, nowadays most of the torpedos getting more speed and longer range, ironically american made latest version of mk 48 torpedo is not so fast and longer range as far as open sources, should they get on trap of being more conservative as such harpoon case or more focus on nuclear subs ignoring diesels, but latest news indicate that us navy considering seiously about aip diesel subs which gives 2 weeks submarged and 6000miles range, and reduced costs with supplement of multiple logistics sides it will give more room at
pasific at least reduce some tasks on nuclear subs, overall our strategy to defend mainland should be more on focused on land based anti-ship missile-atmaca- batteries and even land based big akya with more ranges can give us a survival breath otherwise construction of ship or subs needs time that we do not have according to threat sources are changed so rapidly against to our mainland, real threat comes from land based but without air and sea support it was not be serious therefore we should give pirority to air and sea defences everyone knows today that democracy comes from mainly from air to kill innocent peoples, I confess that I do not have good reasons for being optimistic,we should hard work without speaking uselessly

Buna gore su anda veri bagi kullanarak; UMTAS/OMTAS’ta ayni anda tek hedefe tek gudumlu mermi, Hisar‘da ise uzun menzilde ayni anda birden fazla hedefe gudumlu mermiler veya ayni hedefe birden fazla gudumlu mermi tevcih edilebilecegi anlasilmakta. Cok onemli 1 kabiliyet edinimi.

HİSAR projeleri ile @MeteksanSavunma UMTAS/OMTAS elektronik harp korumalı noktadan noktaya veri bağlarını, daha uzun menzillerde aynı anda birden fazla füzeye bağlantı sağlayan, noktadan çok noktaya güvenli veri aktarımını gerçekleştirebilen bir yapıya dönüştürdü. …

It's gore by using data now cry out; Only one target at the same time in the LRAT/VINODUGANE gudumlu bullets, Hisar in long stretches at the same time more than one target gudumlu bullets or bullet the same goal can be more than one honours wires ever gudumlu. Very important 1 talent acquisition.

For non-Turkish readers, the following would be a more appropriate translate:

.....using the data link; At UMTAS / OMTAS, it is understood that single guided missile can be deployed at a single target at the same time, and for Hisar; missiles guided at more than one target at the long range or multiple guided missiles can be deployed to the same target. A very important ability gain.

Each method has its own advantages or disadvantages.
AFAIK, in type 212s, Germans're using water ejection system for torpedo launch and I guess that's the quietest known method of launching.

Depends on how you use UMTAS, each UMTAS launcher has it's own Transmitter/Receiver. So T-129 could launch two missiles at same target, both missiles being controlled by their respective launchers..

What is the meaning of Stinger launcher (or equivalent) in the background?

Those who wonder what is wake homing..

Wake homing is a technique used to guide torpedoes to their target.[1]

The torpedo is fired to cross behind the stern of the target ship through the wake, as it does so it uses sonar to look for changes in the water caused by the passage of the ship, such as the small air bubbles. When these are detected the torpedo turns toward the ship then follows a zig-zag course, turning when it detects the outer edge of the wake, to keep itself in the wake. This will eventually bring it to the rear of the ship, where its warhead can do the most damage, to propulsion and steering.

The system is difficult to jam, though can be distracted by other ships crossing the wake

The main disadvantage of wake homing is that the course taken to the target is non-optimal and the target is always sailing away from the weapon, requiring a fast weapon with a longer range than for direct homing.

from what I understand the wake homing targets the ripples/bubbles in the water. Which brings to mind the movie "hunt for the red october" where the countermeasures released were designed to cause burst of bubbles and such. Wouldn't countering such a torpedo no be done same way ?

UMTAS or OMTAS arent fire and forget missiles with IR seeking guidance?
Why do they have RF data link?
