Stronger, more flexible for Borofen than Graphene in the January 2020 issue of ROKETSAN magazine; It is mentioned as the material with the potential to revolutionize electrochemistry, nanosensor and catalyst chemistry.
page 20

Roketsan started to develop a star-tracked navigation system in 2017. In this context, the verification works of the system, in which the optical, mechanical and algorithm designs are designed, continue.
With the completion of the verification studies, a sensitive orientation system with an angle accuracy of <60 arc seconds, a weight of <6 kg, and which creates the initial orientation information in less than 10 seconds, will be included in the navigation system. page 12

I bet KKTC will start producing and selling these soon, whereas the TOGG will take another 5 years to enter production and then it'll be de facto cancelled like the Altay.
Why do you take a negative stance in regards to every aspect / project or policy that Turkey does

How about being happy that TRNC are doing something new ( which is rare after all these decades ) and even if 5 years early

It only means in 5 years both Turkey and TRNC have locally developed cars which dozens of countries dont

But nahh compare the car to a freaking tank they are both the same right?? Lol ( Altay delay is not Turkey's fault germans blocked the engine and now we wait for a domestic one )

Watch, just watch as TOGG gets delayed due to Erdoğan choosing his own allies to start production.

You can live in la la land and pretend that TOGG will be on the roads by 2022 or you can take a realistic stance.

I am happy that KKTC is doing this because at least they will finish it in time :partay:

Guys, Does Turkey have any program of indigenous HMDS ?

JHCMS is being used In your Air force at the moment, but do you guys have the rights to produce it yourself even when you are not part of F-35 and JHCMS program ? And what about JHCMS Gen III, the one in use on F-35, is that available with turkey, keeping in mind TFX and future potential customers/partners such as Pakistan ?

Or plain simple, any national indigenous project and if yes, then what is the status of development.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) @aliyusuf This is a really important question btw

I think Turkey will have to start an HMD/S project from scratch (or whatever baseline it already has access to). The issue with HMD/S technology is that the market is basically controlled by one supplier -- Elbit. For whatever reason no one (besides the UK and France) bothered to develop an alternative.

However, I think under TF-X, the Turks will look to develop their own HMD/S, likely model it after the BAE Striker II (which they can ask for seeing how BAE is participating in the TF-X too).

Pakistan ought to go for the one to which it can mate it's HOBS munitions. I am not sure going any other route, than a solution with Chinese basis to build upon, would be feasible for Pakistan. Only the Chinese will be sharing their advanced munitions with us rather than anyone else. I am not sure how advanced are Turkish HOBS munitions, if any exist all.

The Avci HMD used on Atak helicopters are developed by Aselsan. Block-1 variant used thermal display of TopOwl system and later, It was replaced with domestic equivalent in further blocks. I think It will be possible to develop a more advanced one which will be convenient to characteristics of Tf-X avionics.
