What's new

Turkish Engine Programs

Congrats, TFX engine will be Turkish design. The bs with RR about IP rights is going to last years what we don't have. MMU engine will fly 1.4 mach without Afterburners, Aksit and his team confidant that they will achieve this. The partnership with TRmotor is getting stronger, ooo man 2023 will be great year for Turkish aviation industry.... 8-)

Congrats. I remember how an indigenous turbofan was one of Turkiye's visionary aspirations. It was an intangible idea that 'could' happen, but now seeing it gradually materialize is truly something else. I hope Turkiye takes this home all the way.

What about Turkish Altay MBTs engine and transmission? How things are going?

The project is going on, they are testing it. The first batch Altay will use Korean engine and transmission. The engine will be ready in 2025.

Long way to go! What about transmission?

ther is no information about transmission, you forget one thing. You are not going make engine only for 1 vehicle. This engine will also be used in marin applications. Or industry like engine of a bulldozer or ship.

Actually nothing has been made public yet, and @Oublious is just making an assumption based on speculations from other forums. Either way, a bright future lies ahead of our engine industry.

P.S. We already know that TEI is going to be part of the development even if their offer is not chosen

The latest interview with Aksit is clearly, TEI and ther partner TRmotor against KALE/RR. IF Uk and RR solve the IP rights, ther will be competitian. TRmotor and TEI have started to design the engine 4 years ago. What TEI is doing is simple, they make a engine and with the data they aquired they design another engine. TF6000 is the first step to TF35000.

Every technology to make a modern fighter engine is in house, super nickel alloy to titianium. In house TEI.

Turkey should open its doors to the Ukrainian engineers and technicians

they were the brains of the Soviet Union and very resourceful

bring the talent to Turkey along with their families

Muslims had brain drain for centuries now reverse the roles

and the critical technologies sorted like turbofan engine
