We made improvements on the TEI-TS1400 turboshaft engine.

In the past, most of the companents on it were imported.
Gear box, pump, filter, etc were localized

We make 3rd generation single crystal turbine blade and the superalloy locally

We increased its power up to 1,572 hp in 2022 with its localized form

T-625 Helicopter will make the first flight with indigenous TS-1400 Engine in 2023

I need to announce an important news. We have left behind a historical milestone in the field of domestic turbine engines. According to TEİ CEO Mahmut Akşit, we can now cast 3rd generation single-crystal superalloys.

If you remember, we made the turbine blades in the hot sector of the TEI TS1400 engine from 1st generation single-crystal super alloy.

With the 3rd generation, our confidence has increased that we can now produce big turbofan engines with GE F110 engine's thrust level and above thrust level.

I would not doubt this news

it took Chinese until 2022 to master the Turbofan its a tough nut to crack

and if Turkey can do it even by end of 2020s it would still be a achievement

making a high end turbofan is one thing making them under full manufacturing in the 1000s is another

from prototype to full scale production the timeline can be decades, reason is because the variation tolerances between the manufactured blades are so small its very difficult to maintain that level of accuracy and efficiency over 1,000s of units so SOP need to be very tight

I believe Turkey/TEI has been License producing F110s in Turkey and has been producing subcomponents that have been subcomponents/modules for several popular GE and CFM turbofans, like the LEAP and others. Thats hundreds of Boeing 737s and Airbus 320s flying around with Turkish build mass produced subcomponents in its engines.

HAROP has Electro Optic seeker ( CCD ) while KARGI has RF seeker as like anti-radiation missiles

btw KARGI has also a variant with Electro Optic seeker


The HAROP is a standoff loitering attack weapon system

on the other hand KARGI is anti-radiation Drone and standoff loitering attack weapon system


KARGI is competitor to Israeli HARPY Anti-Radiation Drone

KARGI has advanced capabilities such as bidirectional datalink and SATCOM communication systems and home-of-jam during target search
 


Osman Okyay CEO of KaleArge, friendly NATO ally countries in Europe asked us to develop Jet engine for ther cruisemissiles and we are at a point to make agreement.



lol 10 years ago when we buyed France TR40 engines for our cruisemissiles was ended because of ambargo. Thats why never buy things from France.

They(wich countries?) prefer us to join a project 8-), this show us at what level we are.
 
UTKU power pack (1000 HP) will be used in FIRTINA-2. Agreement signed with SSB. Pre-orders for production were given to subcontractors. UTKU engines will be installed on FIRTINA-2s as of 2025. 10 UTKU engine prototypes have already been produced. The transmission in the UTKU power pack was commissioned in October 2022. UTKU has not yet been run as a power pack. It will be run for the first time as a power pack in 2 months.

6 engine prototypes were produced for the BATU power pack (1500 HP). The engine in the BATU power group was started 1.5 years ago. The transmission in the BATU power pack was started last Friday. The process of combining the engine, transmission and cooling package in the BATU power pack continues. The first run of the BATU power pack will be done this year. The engine in the BATU power package was operated for 1000 hours in the test environment. According to the BATU power package development specification, a minimum of 75% domestic contribution is required. The BATU mock-up power pack was successfully integrated into the ALTAY tank hull chassis mock-up, confirming that the power pack fits in the tank. When the real BATU power pack is attached to the ALTAY prototype, it will be subjected to a mobility test of 10 thousand kilometers. In addition, BMC plans to develop a power pack with a capacity of 1300 HP. The aim is to reduce the BATU power pack and to develop the desired 1300 HP power pack. This new power pack will be used on medium tanks and heavy armored personnel carriers. Hybrid drive systems development studies were started within BMC Power.

This is how I can summarize the latest situation in BATU and UTKU power packs.

As far as I know, test footage have not yet been shared by SAGE. The video above (in your twit) is an exemplary as of showing engine ignition phases, but it is not related to the SAGE's engine test department. If I remember correctly, it should be a test run by an institute in the US, years ago.

Tubitak Sage is working on two types of ramjet propelled missiles in the first phase. One of these will be an air-to-air and the other an air-ground anti-radiation type missile. Regarding the RAMJET engine, the target for the first working engine in the project was shown between the last quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023. In other words, this project should technically have completed the TRL (technology readiness level) phase. In ScramJet, on the other hand, they are still in the early stages and a project is ongoing at the conceptual level. This process is supported by numerous doctoral studies.

In other words, this development works still has a way to go and is currently at an early stage as end-system. Gökhan, a ramjet-propelled air-to-air missile, will essentially be the main combat weapon of the MMU platform. In terms of engagement speed and maximum effective range, it is aimed to acquire capabilities that will compete with similar projects that are ongoing in the world and that we will see in service in the coming decades. The fact that it will be immediately followed by an air-ground munition with the same propulsion system may also indicate the open-ended architecture of this missile development.

Another important issue for SAGE is that the High Speed Wind Tunnel investment is nearing completion. It will be a new 'Trisonic' tunnel. Tests at subsonic, supersonic and transonic speeds will be carried here. It is called the "TÜBİTAK-SAGE Trisonic Tunnel (TSTT)" and will probably become one of the main test and measurement facilities in the development phases of supersonic miniature drones and all type missiles in the coming years, and this investment is also a harbinger of the rapid expansion of SAGE's missile product range. Without going into too much detail here and complicating the issue, I can simply say that the 2025-2030 period will include a major breakthrough for the Turkish defense industry both of air-to-air and supersonic air-to ground systems/missile groups.

and so its seems like Ukraine and South Korea are the main partners in Turkish engine programs ?

I think its only fair that all Ukrainians technicians and engineers are settled in Turkey and work for the Turkish military to build core systems like engines

Turkey has done alot to help Ukraine and even selling the Ukrainian companies to Turkey would be good buy for Turkey

take full advantage of the situation its not a unfair advantage its called fair advantage

by 2030 I can see Turkey ahead of some of the most advanced European nations like Italy and Spain

by 2040 they can chase France, Germany and then UK
