So we have three separate companies or organisations should we call them that specialises in/has taken up rail gun projects that's currently still in development phases.... We know that a rail gun can propel a projectile in extraordinary speeds something unseen in conventional guns and has the power to penetrate metal blocks in great thickness.

My question is, can the projectile size be increased to target moving aerial targets?

In electromagnetic canons it is easier to send a bigger projectile. When it gets bigger it is much more efficient to get kinetic energy from electromagnetic field.

But that comes with the problem of builging a bigger canon with much more durability. Stress applied on canon is so big and so sudden that you need much more high tech materials and engineering challenges to build the canon. Costs fly like hell too...

Is it possible? Of course... But needs a lot of work and finance.
