What's new

Turkish Defence Minister also have arrived in Pakistan

This is not good news.
Why cj was invited to koniya turkey and he met Erdogan?
Why interior minister of turkey visited?
Why defence minister of Turkey visited?
Back to back these events are happening.
My sixth sense totally says, that it is for the nro of nawaz sherif..
There could be no other reason.
Last time Turkish foreign minister on his Pakistani trip met nawaz who was technically house arrest.
Turks should not do this.
And Imran khan must remember that musharaf too pardoned them, and ask them to stay abroad for 10 years.
And they regrouped and changed the situation and came back as Victor's.
And we celebrate them as the champions of democracy. Yet they bought back the dark Ages. Right now, too much is going on.. If he or army gave them NRO then Imran would go down worse in the histroy.
@BHarwana, @Hakikat ve Hikmet

Turks have got little to do with Nawaz Sharif apart from when he was representing Pakistan.
The only reason he kept visiting turkey was because of his private investments and dealings with the companies there.

As for the visits.
This is about the new game that is about to start in the region and in particular in
Syria.
You'll see what I'm talking about in days to come.

Thanks for the clarifications!!! The Turkish political landscape is such that Erdo'an doesn't have absolute power for he basically runs a coalition of conservative folks (>50% of voters), including ultra nationalists. And, the local government elections are nearby. He can't afford to generate some noise pertaining to sensitive internal matters of Pak, and that too corruption related!!!! And, the defense minister is ex-CJCS, and very sensitive to the matters of the state, especially when very important external military engagements are about to be put into motion. He is expected to be last person to lobby for Sherif brothers as some posters have suggested....

Those posters are messed up mate.
Ignore them...

. .
Like what? did you check the contents? Pakistan has been pro Saudi so far this is the only area where they might have some influence in our region.

i thought that is also our region..

Turkey is going for the kill in Syria against Kurds as US has decided to pull their forces off from the country.

most probable situation would be the one you said, Turkey is going on full offensive against kurds in Syria and that would put them in direct confrontation with Russia and Iran.
another probability is that Saudi Arab with support of israel and america is going on offensive on Iran.

the point to be noted is that Gen Bajwa has just recently came back from his visit to Egypt and Qatar.

Maybe some big ticket purchase is on the cards?

i don't think that foreign minister and defence minister are visiting just for deal.

a year ago, Turkish FM said that we would not allow anybody redraw the lines in ME..

.
His bag contain a lot of strategic issues. The Pakistani government's approach will be very decisive in shaping some issues in our regions.

You mean west Asia and middle east?

In the real world of realpolitik, IMO, Sherif brothers are like folks you keep in your "ignore" list....

The Turkish folk visiting Pak right now is ex-CJCS!!! You don't send such folks for personal or political favors...

And very loyal to Erdogan.

Akar was taken hostage on 15 July 2016 during the Turkish Armed Forces' 2016 attempted coup d'état against the Turkish government, by those responsible for leading the attempted coup.[5] According to The Economist, Akar "was told by his aides to sign a declaration of martial law. When he refused, they tightened a belt around his neck, but he would not yield."[6] He was held hostage at Akıncı Air Base in Ankara before pro-government forces retook control of the air base and rescued him in the early hours of 16 July 2016.[7]

Basically he was anti-FETO....

.
36 JF17 in Turkish air-force would be a Symbolic gesture
A self explanatory move

Imagining Turkey / Pakistan / Azerbijan all flying Thunder Variants :flame::flame::flame:

. .
When we discuss a unified view or stand, it makes sense there is some share on Tank/ Fighter Jet technology

Symbolic cooperation

36 Thunders in Turkey , 24-28 in Azaerbaijan and 10 Thunders from Pakistan in joint training a great regional security setup in joint training flying high

Symbolic move

Pakistan's isolation in full swing! How will our neighbors ever recover from the hopes and dreams of chai-wala's isolation strategy?

It's got more to do with US's exit in Syria and Turkish invasion of buffer-states hovering near its border. They're probably interested in learning from our Afghanistan Border Experience and how to minimize terrorist spillover.

Bloody hell what do you guys think Turkey is Saudi Arabia? Turkey has been dealing with border security issues for the past 30 years, Iraq wars, Syria, Iran all of them it knows how to handle refugee or terrorist spill overs. You dont send a general to for advice on these issues there is advisers for that. It has a much more secure border in a much more troubled region where there has been 3 - 4 full scale wars and terrorism.

Pakistanis need to change your lenses and get a reality check otherwise you will continue to suffer the same problems, you speak like Turks used to 30 years ago. And offering Turkey fighter jets, advice on refugees, economics, geopolitics etc when Turkey is the one selling you weapons, technology and training.

The meeting is most probably regarding FETO, military deals, strategic partnership and the Saudis.

I am sure they can share some views on what you said but Turkey is far ahead of Pakistan in the area of counter terrorism and dealing with border security issues, just look at the Turkish defence industry and you will see a lot of the products are made just for that.

Today another minister arrived.
Why do you have to create imaginary senerio.
Heck I don't know even anyone in Islamabad is following Syrian crisis and give a damn about it .
We are too busy.
This timing is werid. It is only for NRO and nothing else.

.
You mean west Asia and middle east?

Our offer to Pakistan is a step by step partnership from Central/Southern Asia to the Horn of Africa.

What I mean here is the harmonization of the interests of 2 country. For example, Pakistan's JF-17 marketing activities, we believe that this system could enter many markets that Pakistan has not yet entered.

Two of the most critical members of the cabinet Akar and Soylu's contacts at Pakistan have a deeper meaning than the announcement given to the press. I hope we will see first reflections in Pakistan's fight against corruption and Turkey's fight against the Feto.

Most of our people live in a false projected reality of things where they are some superior breed, just because they think they are.

We are good and better in many ways than most nations, specially Muslim out there, but we are not the know it alls and sell it alls.
We have things to learn and others have things to learn from us, and that includes Turkey, because no one experience is enough, there is plenty to experiences and exchange of them.

But in the end, thinking one is superior and know it all is where the shit of downfall starts.

And that's for both you and them lol

This appears to be a serious visit.

no i thought it was just some vaccations on the beaches of Gwadar
