Turkish Defence Industry Exports & Updates

. .
I understood that from the beginning - but in terms of a skirmish - how you would be able to detect if that's a bullet of a hiding sniper - or a "regular" bullet shot from nearby? here the direction doesn't matter... it has to be "bullet detector" not "sniper detector" - or is the system able to calculate the distance the bullet was shot from? that would be smth different...
one scenario for you: enemies around - lots of bullets - the detector tells you "bullet from the right side"...
but there are already visible enemies on your right flank - so?
what if a sniper hides around 1 km in the distance targeting you from the right side too - would the detector be able to tell you, that the bullets were these of the sniper?
it also able to tell the lokation of sniper as knowing where the bullet koming from, and traking all the way bak

An export sales contract of the supply of command and control system, anti-tank missile launching systems, remote-controlled weapon systems, radio link systems, inertial navigation systems, and gunshot detection systems, was signed between ASELSAN and one of its international clients at a total amount of 93,262.684 US dollars.

As part of the contract, the deliveries will be made between 2020-2021.

ASELSAN, which has become a major player in stabilized weapon systems, did not reveal details about the exported systems and the country. However, the SERDAR Antitank Missile System can be spotted in the images via which ASELSAN announced the export contract. SERDAR was exported to Qatar before.

ASELSAN SERDAR Anti-Tank Missile System is a weapon system that will provide high efficiency against ground targets under all weather conditions day and night through its computer-aided fire control capabilities designed to minimize user interaction. The system is a remote-controlled and stabilized weapon platform that can carry 2/4 anti-tank missiles (SKIF, KORNET etc.).

GES Engineering to Add Intelligence to Shelter-Levelling Systems Used by NATO

The sub-systems of the leading solutions offered by GES Engineering are also attracting attention. A company from a NATO-member European state has selected the electronic control unit of GES Engineering’s Shelter-Levelling System to convert its own manual levelling system into an automatic system. Under the contract, signed in the third week of July 2020, GES Engineering will deliver the first batch of products in a collaboration that is expected to expand with further orders.

The electronic control unit, the software and hardware of which have been developed by GES Engineering, operates as an independent unit (LRU), allowing levelling systems to fulfil their tasks automatically in the shortest possible time. These units have been performing well in the field as a part of the Shelter Levelling and Automatic Vehicle Levelling Systems offered to various users by GES Engineering.

The contract can be considered a precursor to a new period in which the modernization of old systems without automatic levelling capability will be possible. GES Engineering’s electronic control unit brings modern capabilities to old systems, and can be easily integrated thanks to its standard interfaces and flexible architecture.

Serhat Demir, Co-founder of GES Engineering, said that the contract meant many firsts for the company: “This is our first contract for the export of our levelling system product family. It is also the first contract covering an electronic unit developed by GES Engineering, which is well-known in the design and manufacture of mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems, components and materials. Making use of our software and hardware development capabilities, we offer solutions that will make a difference in this field in the coming period.”
