There is no chance for Altays and naval industry.
Also UAE has just made a deal with US.

If they did joint production with turkey for even $ 1 billion it would be hugely beneficial to both

But I guess defence procurement are influenced by policy and not requirement

Its better this way,this prevents our industry from getting lazy,we will automaticly be forced to develop even better systems which,in the long run will only be more benefitial to us.

Otherwise you have this available ‘immediately’ :

- Patriot missile batteries and Terminal High Altitude Area Defence - or THAAD system

- The package includes MBT tanks

- Missile defence systems

- Radar, and communications and cyber security technology (with also Satellite)


And it's only a 10 years contract, it's very short on the relationship between two nations.

the problem is that most of Saudi purchase from the US... are equipment NOT AVAILABLE or still underdevelopment from Turkey for the incoming 5-10 years... therefore not usefull for "right now" availability...
KSA has more $$ to spend... when TR defence industry became more "mature" on some "critical" fields...don't worry they will jump on it... since it will be cheaper and better ToT...

3 Million Dollars per Pod, I guess thats including integration?
Thats some expensive hardware.
