Turkey is next to the source of action, and it hasn't even begun to bring into play all the cards that it can use. The Ayatollahs and Putin have walked into Turkey's neighborhood, thinking that it's about conquering territory. Turkey made severe political faults in the past. The first was to support PYD 2014 to gain control in Ayn-El Arab - Kobane.
Instead supporting PYD , Turkey could have defeated ISIS from there and established a buffer zone in Syria.
The same could have been done in Sengal mountains in Iraq.
Only two actions would have been enough to avoid the severe results we see today and would have given Turkey great prestige and big points.Maybe also the urban combats in SE Turkey could have been avoided.

Now the situation is much more difficult and can cause a war with Russia.
