No, there are serious rumors about the second LHD and the name will Trakya.

Hopefully we will get it.. Able to operate Chinook,F35C's and Our new future utility helicopter.. Can Altay MBT operate in LHD?

However there are some question i need to ask which forces me to relinquish some personnel information.

1. I am 20 years old which is the max age limit, however according to the Hava Harp Okulu site you need to be born in 1996, while i was in 1995. I assume that will become a problem? My birthday will be in august before the YGS entrance exam. So technically i will still be 20 when i apply.

2. I also have asthma. Is that something that wouldnt sit well with the military? It isnt much of a problem in my daily life.

I am studying Civilian aviation right now and honestly its boring as ****. Would prefer military aviation.

1- Well first of all, whether or not you are eligible to the criterias, you need to decide on what type of enlistment/commission you plan to enter.

First, ask yourself these questions,

- Do you really accept the circumstances and the consequences they may bring for joining the military in case you meet all the criterias?

- Is HVKK your only preference on joining TSK branches or does DZKK and KKK also seem to be acceptable?

- Do you want to be an officer or enlisting as a Specialist/NCO (Uzman Erbaş, Astsubay) is also okay for you?

- On which recruitment you think of applying? Regular/Career or Contracted?


If you'd ask for my personal opinions, you are already studying civilian aviation don't waste it. If you are eager on applying, try contracted recruitment as an officer or as a NCO instead. I find it as the most suitable for you (Sözleşmeli Subay/Astsubay İstihdamı). Also bear in mind that your age may be a bit late for direct recruitment as a career Officer/NCO. Check Air Force Academy's site for that matter.

2- This is the official statement about the asthma for flying personnel. As for your condition on applying, check the regulation but I doubt it'll help you, instead contact the military via tsk.tr or try reaching to the Military Attaché's Office in Amsterdam.

7) Taşınabilir inhaler bronkodilatör ile kontrol altına alınabilen hafif intermittan astım olguları sadece kategori-4
uçuşu için elverişlidir.
ç) Kategori-4 uçuş: Bir hava aracı kategorisi olmayıp, yalnızca kategori-3 hava araçlarında nitelikleri Kuvvet
Komutanlıkları, Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı ve Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığınca belirlenen tecrübeli bir pilot eşliğinde
yapılan uçuştur. Kategori-3 hava aracı sağlık yeteneklerini karşılamayan ancak kategori-4 uçuşa elverişli olan uçucular,
nitelikleri Kuvvet Komutanlıkları, Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı ve Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığınca belirlenen tecrübeli bir
