Turkey will get both, there's no debate or dilemma about it.
The fact that you can say this so confidently shows that you know very little about the issue. If you knew even a little, you would at least acknowledge that this is a matter of concern, but that every high level american official and thousands of military analysts worldwide are lying/stupid or that they dont know about the project as much as you do and in fact the F-35s will be delivered no matter what they say.

I hope you've read what I've linked to understand why the F35 will have to be delivered to Turkey, so we can skip that part entirely.

The real question is why the F35 narrative is being pushed again. I urge you to remember the last time that happened. Yes the S400's were brought up, but the general consensus was about the priest. You can check the news and reports that date back then.

I'm not sure on what the US wants from Turkey this time around, but since it hasn't been made public by neither party I'm pretty confident that Turkey has already agreed to give in.

This is the theatrics part so that both sides actually believe there was some sort of back and forth between the nations.

The deliveries of the F35 are most certainly going to be pushed back, and then suddenly Turkey and the US will both "make compromises" on some issue and all will be well again.

19-0003-19-0006 have been allocated to Turkey. Training is still ongoing.

I completely understand why my Turkish brothers are not happy with the US on more than one issue. I won't even tell them they are wrong to feel that way.

But if one is completely objective, it is easy to see why this is an issue. I hope Turkey decides to go with the F-35, and bolster their already world-class military with these amazing machines.

What if US confronts us in Syria? Would F-35 stop it? We are already late to have S-400 like system.

The US would never attack Turkey in Syria. We don't harbor any ill-will towards the Turkish people, despite what local media may say.

But even if that happened, the S-400 wouldn't be of too much help either.

At the end of the day, I believe our countries will be able to move beyond our current pain points. Understanding the other side's position, even if you don't agree with it, is key.

You will think twice.
I doubt that the US will ever confront Turkey directly...
Are you sure about it?

Yes, Turkey is not Afghanistan, Iraq or Somalia...

Only thing they will do is sanctions, sending their useless proxies and take apart the Turkish population.

"Turkey is not this or that" doesn't make sense.
Such a Question makes no sense.

Turkey has a POWERFUL Military, has a abnormal Patriotic population and we have home advantage, you think they are that retarded?

Shadow-boxing is what this is called.

The US trains Turkish forces for joint patrols in Syria. They are currently training Turkish pilots in the American desert. They have almost 100 B61s housed on Turkish soil. The US would send their blood and treasure to fight and die should Turkey be attacked and they invoke NATO Article 5.

If someone has convinced you that the US is your enemy, then the S-400 makes sense. Otherwise, I hope they stay engaged and in the F-35 program, and in NATO in general. It is Turkey's choice, as a sovereign nation.
