Turkey summons German envoy over PKK rally in Cologne

Turkey's Foreign Ministry has summoned the German Ambassador, Martin Erdmann, Saturday after a mass gathering of supporters and sympathizers of the outlawed PKK terrorist organization in Cologne.

The ministry condemned German authorities for allowing the demonstration, organized in support of the PKK's imprisoned leader, Abdullah Öcalan, and the group's goal for independence in the region.

Berlin previously allowed a march to be held under a slogan bearing the name of the imprisoned leader of the PKK, despite the German Interior Ministry having passed a ban on the brandishing of 33 symbols linked to the PKK in March, including the PKK flag and photos of Öcalan.

The PKK has long enjoyed relative freedom in European cities and has a particularly strong presence in Germany. PKK supporters have been allowed to hold rallies, recruit militants and collect funds in Germany and several other European countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland, where their terrorist activities are met with support.

According to a recent report from the German Interior Ministry in 2016, crimes committed by PKK followers in Germany increased by a staggering 97.6 percent, with 1,597 cases reported. Many of the incidents involved PKK followers violating demonstration and assembly laws, the report noted.

Ankara has long criticized what it calls Germany's indifference to the activities of various terrorist groups within its borders. Although Berlin outlawed the PKK in 1993, authorities have been reluctant to take strong measures against the organization's activities, ignoring repeated warnings from Ankara.

According to Germany's domestic intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), the PKK has nearly 14,000 followers among the ethnic Kurdish population in Germany.

When will Turkey declare that pretty much all German criminals and anyone escaping German law/authorities are more than welcome in Turkey where we won't let the German state/police harm them?

This is clearly what the Germans are begging for Turkey to do in retaliation.

Something must be done about this, it's unacceptable...These terrorists are doing suicide bombings, smuggling, assassinations, car bomb attacks, running drug operations all across Turkey and Europe. Basically doing everything what ISIS or Al-Qaida does.

This is getting out of hand, the fact that European politicians think that they can use terror groups as a leverage against Turkey is absolutely disgusting but it also shows they learn nothing from the terror attacks happening in Europe as well.

We should do whatever is necessary. Summoning German envoy is useless.

Here is how it works.
Kurds go to Europe telling fake storiesto get asylum. To justify ther fake stories they are asked to attend those rallies. Sothjat in their asylum interviews with that country's immigration they can present that as "Evidence" that how oppressed they are.

The police always gets attacked by these terrorists because every time they do something like this they get violent its in their nature. But the German media loves to ignore the damage to buildings and people done by the pkk kurds in germany because the state is ordering them to do so.

But you have not the right to insult Turks, this must be clear to you. You are eloquent and I think if you would write in German your eloquency would be more visible to the members. The main point why I criticize you is that you often flee from the battleground, without answering the real point and only answer with counter questions.
Sometimes your sublingual messages and visible disappointment in the messages make me often believe that you are Turk.
