Turkey, Pakistan two brethren states: Turkish first lady​

HYDERABAD: First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdogan on Friday said that Pakistan and Turkey are both Muslim states and friendly countries for each other. With this consideration, Turkey is helping and providing aid to the flood affectees of the country.

According to a press release issued by Khairpur District Information, Emine Erdogan expressed these views during a visit to a relief camp in Khairpur, where a medical team from Turkey is also working. She said Turkey had always helped Pakistan in its time of need and that they would provide more help for the flood-affected people if the need arose.

She said her visit to Pakistan had enabled her to express solidarity with the flood victims. app

Now wait a minute, wasn't Turkey supposed to be secular?

Muslim states means Muslim majority.

Islamic States means Islamic government.

And seeing that both countries are 95% and up Muslim, yes they are Muslim States.

That's not how the Turkish Military sees it. They've made sure that they go over the line to get the message of 'Secularism' across. We've all heard the stories. I'm still sure that somebody's going to flip out on this. Even if its not covered by the media.

Turkey is secular but still is has a muslim identity and one would be fool to think they would give that up. Turkey is also an OIC member. Having a secular political system versus religious identity has no co-releation. One would understand that Islamic political system is also secular because it advocates equal rights for religious minorities and their protection.

India is explicitly banned from applying at OIC much to the dismay of slap happy Indian muslims. Expect zakir naik to have a go on this in near future.

The Turkish millitary is not a secularism die-had bhoot or afraait. True they are utmost sensitive to upholding secular principles but that does not include force conversion of all turks to atheism.
