ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) only want to get out of America’s war and they do not want to impose sharia law by force, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan claimed on Thursday.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Imran stated that he had been saying the same thing for the past ten years.

Commenting on the success of the ongoing peace negotiations, the PTI chief said the interaction between the government and the TTP has made it clear which groups want peace and which do not.

The government committee met the TTP Political Shura in a remote tribal area on March 26 and it was agreed that they would continue with the peace talks. There were reports of an extension in the month-long ceasefire but TTP spokesperson Shahid Shahid denied any such reports.

Today, Imran further said that ceasefire should continue and the non-combatants – women, children and the elderly – should be released.

The TTP have demanded the release of women and children of TTP members alleged in the custody of security agencies and this was one of the main topics of discussion during the meeting between the government intermediaries and TTP Shura.

PTI has lost it... as far as its stance over TTP is concerned.. Imran is basically anti imperial .. that's it... his sympathetic statements for TTP are just because enemy of enemy is freakin friend... he doesn't know that TTP cannot be given clean just like such statements.. they have butchered thousands of Pakistanis.. they have raped Pakistan' economy through all possible holes.. the have done proper damage to Pakistan's defence.. They have imposed shariah by force wherever they got power e.g., sawat... they have literally slaughtered innocent men and women and after that they made videos to spark fear among masses.. they blew off the temples... they have killed innocent non-muslims of Pakistan.. and they are still doing that.. whenever they will get power .. they will do the same.. and Pakistani govt is playing foul and PTI is giving its shoulder for fire in the name of negotiations for peace.. remember Taliban are just tip of an iceberg and they will become a bigger monster after getting time.. being provided to them via negotiations,, we should nip this evil in the bud ... and PTI mustn't be party to it..

Made clear what? Initially they proposed to free up Professor Ajmal as goodwill gesture, now they want their people to be freed in exchange. This is already making it clear where these talks are heading towards. Imran is supporting the TTP (alias JI/JUI) murderers because they are ethnically related to him. I wonder who is the main spokesman of TTP shahid Ullah shahid or Imran khan Kaptan they said (TTP) in various interviews that they will keep fighting even if US leaves the afghani land and they don't believe in Constitution of Pakistan .
