Fk this colonialist imperialist mindset that only NATO states have some God given right to nation build. Why shouldn't the Turkish viewpoint be listened to? They know the region. Their security interests are real. Turkey has every right to get a deal that ensures its security from terror groups. And it has won this though force of arms and nothing less, because reasoning with NATO to get them to stop facilitating terrorism is like drawing blood from a stone.

Having said that, I seriously seriously doubt the YPG and their European facilitators in Paris, Berlin and other Turk-hating terror-funding capital cities will simply allow Turkey to roll over their terror groups and establish the safe zone Trump hinted at supporting. Just today Merkel is facing a pseudocrisis of conscience because she "realised" that blocking Turkey means she has to support the Assad regime....of course, she has no issue supporting terrorist YPG because the victims of that brand of terror are Turks, whereas Assad aims for Turks and Israelis and Saudis. .... Truly laughable and.hypocritical stance to take when all she needs to do is swallow a millennium of anti-Muslim imperialist ambitions and wet dreams over Constantinople and just accept that Turkey is here to stay and Turkey has the right to do something about its border security. Truly awful blatant hypocrisy.

I hope Turkey gets The security buffer it needs.... But somehow I doubt this is going to happen.
