Whatever happens Pakistan position will go from strength to strength. Iran itself have on many occasion expressed openly to join CPEC. Which kills the Indian wet dream there and then to use charbahar as out flanking Pakistan. If push comes to shove and America squeeze on Iran further tighten, Iran will have no choice but join CPEC with Pakistan ensuring that Iranian soil is not used by India against Pakistan. This also proves India is nothing but American lapdog which can't do much without yanks blessings. Kabul regime is getting further in deep end with each passing day. On the other side of global, if things get heated in South China sea, China will become more desparete for early completion of CPEC.

All in all, Pakistan will sit back and enjoy the show.

Iran should have waited at least a few months before testing the missile and should have observed how Trump behaved. Many people thought that he was not that crazy but he turned out to be a white supremacist.

The point is, there is very little trade potential between India and Afghanistan/Central Asia so the port of Chabahar will mostly benefit Iran for domestic trade... even if the port is able to develop to full capacity, its maximum potential is similar to port of Beaumont

Big difference. India can import gas from Central Asia but it can also be purchased from Iran. Central Asia needs heavy machinery but they already purchase from their neighbour China. The bilateral trade of most of central asia is like cities of Pakistan or India so if you take out export of Gas, there is hardly any trade that will happen between India and Central Asia if these states opts to use Chabahar.

Ban on Iran will be beneficial for Pakistan under present circumstances as it will help promote Gwadar but we Pakistanis have no dislikeness for our neighbour and firmly believe Iran should also have the right to economic activities just like rest of the world

Western or Central China isnt terrible

China has a enormous population concentrated on its eastern and south eastern borders, it desperately needs and wants to develop central and western China and grow the population

They have a problem financially it makes little sense for companies to move west they are in direct competition with factories on the eastern seafront so it will simply increase the costs to produce in western china or set up shop when you have to then transport to the eastern sea front and transport out.


CPEC is central to China's plans to give a route for Western China and Central China to have a straight route to Gwader

This is how they will develop Western China and make it worthwhile for people and factories to move over
