Tribal Invasion - Pakistan’s first proxy war.

The so-called tribal forces ( a misnomer under the Pakistani Army cloak led by Akbar Khan of the Rawalpindi conspiracy fame) lost their morality of fighting the Dogra forces, when they started the "Rape of Mirpur" which you can read in gory detail (Mirpur Massacre). The tribes savagely killed and raped thousands of Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus alike which showed that they were nothing but petty murderers.

Mirpur never had many hindus or sikhs... and muslims... go ask any even on PDF(we have members)........abt the books reliability.....its written by a indian guy...Dr. Ram Chander Sharma!

Oh really? So you know more than the people who were actually there? Are you a Kashmiri who's village was burnt by the Dogras as you mention? Are you an eyewitness or are you quoting some rubbish written by some Yanks?

You said, "according to a Western journalist"...? How about quoting objectively from someone who was actually there instead? Please stop shooting from the hip. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Read how the dogras commited kashmiri genocide ... A good example is when at a place..250000+ kashmiris were massacred just for demanding freedom n merger with Pakistan, house burnt, looted, rapped n what not.

the Indian troops entered the Kashmiri territory on the request of the Ruler of Jammu and Kashmir and as a result of a treaty between the two States.

This would have anyway paved way for the state to be Indian sooner than later and that is what Pakistanis feared. For example, my state (a kingdom around 50 years back) sought protection from the then forming modern state of India. However, our chogyal (king) was wary of China and became greedy for absolute power. He wanted to control everything unlike the peaceful and rational chogyals of past. So our people became fed up and request the Indian Army to merge us with them.

In J&K's case it would be even easier since king Hari Singh Nalwa was very pro-Indian and wanted to accede to us earlier itself. It was just that before he could tell us a formal yes, Pakistanis made him agree to us faster.

For a blow by blow account of the events leading to the tribal invasion, refer to the book "Kashmir in conflict: India, Pakistan and the unending war By Victoria Schofield". One very interesting thing to be noted at the outset is the presence of tribal infiltration and armed revolts even before the accepted tribal invasion on October 22. Read about the Suddhans and Sardar Mohammed Ibrahim Khan. Also, one very interesting fact is the Kashmiri genocide you claim to be being performed, were committed by lay Hindus and Sikhs in Jammu ( not in Poonch or in Mirpur). But that was due to the communal convolution set in the midst of partition. The Pakistanis including Mohd. Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan and used this hypocritical event to silently pressure Hari Singh to acquiesce to Pakistan, claiming the TNT doctrine. Under the guise of a Muslim massacre (which was far from reality) in Poonch, Jinnah sent infiltration units to Poonch to help the revolters. What followed is history.

This Choudhry, working for RAW, gives a bad name to all Choudhrys and I'm also a Choudhry. He forgets that his people were working for the Pakistan movement for decades before Pakistan's independence. The person who came with the name "Pakistan" was also Choudhry. (Choudhry Rahmat Ali), and he wrote in his pamphlet that the "K" in PAKISTAN was for Kashmir.

Tribal Pakhtuns are the true heroes of Pakistan. They freed the most important parts of Kashmir that connects Pakistan to China and cuts off India from Afghanistan.

why not ban vinod mods? for his trolling, offtopic pathetic rants?

Is this a Pakistani forum or a biased indian forum where they have a right to troll, abuse Pakistan?
Hold on! Just because this is a Pakistani forum, it doesn't give you the license to troll and spread falsehoods that impinge on the sentiments of Indians here.

For example you said that India which is treating J & K under brutal, inhuman laws and human rights violations as some contend. Have you been to Kashmir and seen the situation for yourself or are you just relying on propaganda and rhetoric spewed out by some of your newspapers and some anti India channels?. And of course there is your darling Zaid Hamid, the greatest clown this side of the Suez, but guys like you lap up his nonsense with great pride as though he's the last word on everything.

I would like to mention here, that just as some Indians who have never been to Pakistan and don't know what life is actually like in the cities which is akin to any metro in India, similarly, most of you guys who've never been to Kashmir, will not know the ground realities.

I have been to Pakistan as well as spend a lot of time in Kashmir and therefore in a better position than you to know and feel the ground realities. Just as most Pakistanis one meets in Pakistan are vibrant and friendly, the same goes for Kashmir. There is no violence and 'horrific' killings and mass murders as you mention. There have been a record number of tourists in Kashmir this year and the people running their businesses are more than happy. They say they're fine as long as there are no militant attacks.

I don't see any tension or fear in the Valley. The so called 'draconian' AFSPA doesn't affect most of the people as it is geared only to nab terrorists on specific information in specific areas. The horrific picture you have painted without going to Kashmir and seeing for yourself is totally baseless, unfounded and untrue.

And by the way ask any Kashmiri today and they'll tell you that no one except very few, want anything to do with Pakistan. Now, you can only gauge people's sentiments in Kashmir if you get your boots on the ground and see for yourself instead of relying on third rate propaganda material spewed out by some of your media and so called 'analysts' like zaid Hamid!

I admit there have been some human rights violations by the Police forces and the paramilitary which is totally unacceptable. But these are few and far between. Immediate action is being taken on those held responsible. And don't forget to meet SAS Geelani of the Hurriat when you visit the Valley, and ask him why so many so-called human rights violations have been engineered by his henchmen to give a bad name to the security forces.

Cheers!
