Why stick to one indicator? And yes, I know, by your own graph, if you were to plot a trend line among that annually volatile BoT graph, the trend has been going down for a while now. And the primary reason among others is the energy crisis. Something no government on earth can be expected to fix in one fiscal year.

Anyway, we'll see what the situation is in 5-10 years, if the long term projects go according to plan, that graph should start looking better, so far, the PMLN government does seem to be performing better than it's predecessor, if that's not the case in 2018, then open season on PMLN, vote someone more competent in.

Because the thread is about one indicator. If trend has to be observed you can see the GDP and many other indicators were getting better since 2010 in PPP's tenure.

Not all, They well during the PPP's tenure and recovered from pitiful levels, to slightly less pitiful levels. It's no use trying to credit them with that, the Pakistani economy suffered, just because some improving trend was seen towards the end, it does not mean that rate of growth overall improve, and it does not excuse how the trend was allowed to start from rock bottom.

This is what's called, finding any excuse, cherry picking trend observations.

What PPP did in past 5 years for electricity? We thank PPP and all credit goes to them. Atleast PMLN is trying to fixed all mess that was created by PPP

Jungibaaz bro the title of this thread is incorrect as explained in my earlier post. The deficit of trade balance increased from around 10 billion dollars to 16.50 billion dollars during PPP's era which has now been further increased to 17 as claimed in the news. It is not the loss of 17 billion dollars but the deficit of trade balance

Yes, I saw, which is why I added a balance of trade graph to that post on the first page.
I should have changed the title earlier.

This is mostly strange. If the trade defecit is increasing, then why is the pakistani rupiah so stable? This cannot be understand.

Because
  • The trade deficit has not increased significantly
  • The gap is quickly filled by the remittances received from overseas Pakistanis

The gap between imports and exports has been very much alike since last 2 years. The worrying part is we have not been able to increase exports significantly and only contained imports to not swell further. We need to increase bilateral trade with every nation and flourish local industry to be able to export goods overseas. We have thus far not been able to gain significant achievement in this regard.

17 billion dollar trade deficit and 100 billion comments full of excuses. PPP haters are funny indeed :victory:

your stupidity has really made you blind, Pakistan was worse on corruption index during your gidfather zaradri era, how can you forget that?
oH by the way can you please explain how your part works.
I mean who puts his maternal father name after his father bilawal bhutto zaradari o_O
So billo baita is actually carrying on forward with the legacy of his nana and not of his dad's bloodline?

100 billion comments
This is what happens when you study in Sindh funded govt run school, you cant even do simple maths.
Shameful and pathetic.

Were you born an ignoramus or did you have to work on it?

During the late Musharraf years, 2007-2008, the mean trade deficit was around $10 billion.
By 2012-2013, it grew to over $16 billion under the PPP. And for a while under PPP, it was even higher than it is now.

I've never seen someone so happy at accomplishing nothing.
