Top US Admiral offers F-35 jets to India

This is the most logical step for the US in countering China and was expected. Question is, will India do its usual masala fry by demanding "Make" in India nonsense. Then you will have x, y and z problems and induction in 2030.

Otherwise the most potent threat from India, perhaps greater than the Su-57.

India is not even going to buy this Jet... Now relax

India jumping onto the F-35 bandwagon this late might not make sense but they will sure use this as a bargaining chip to further squeeze a better deal with the platforms it is currently negotiating with.

Good idea. 324 Tejas and 126 F-35s will be a lethal force against the bngldsher sena/vimana

add it to MMRCA 2 plox.

At the very minimum this plane is well suited for the navy needs. Especially those 4 LHD's. Rafale M is not a great plane relative to the land variant. F-35B is above anything India can get for the next 40 years. STOVL planes are niche.

China has begun research and development on 6th generation fighter jet....so who cares.

India should stop its own fighter programmes(s) and start buying American off-the-shelf products NOW!

India will never go into US major weapons specially offensive weapon until the former offer TOT plus source code as any rising power cant buy weapon or things which can be used for blackmailing later at least logic suggests that regarding China and F35 for India ,China has already put F35/F22 into doctrine as they will be facing this from Japan / Australia /Korea so having numbers with India will not hurt them ,from Pakistan point of View China is a friend and J31 rest all ok

Obviously, that's what customers do
