I don't have any thing against Muslism, my country has one of the largest Muslim population. I respect my fellow country men not for their faith but for the dedication that they show for the betterment of theirself and that of the nation.
But on the other hand those who call on a comparison between Muslim nations are just betting arround the bush to prove that their own country is the leader of the Muslim world

So whats your problem about whosoever is the leader of Muslim world?

Man , there are 57 OIC member countries that's why they are comparing their own self in which few of them are not Muslim majority and you can find ample data on GDP and on intra OIC trade etc..

It's 'per capita GDP' which reflects the standard of living within an economy. Oman or Bahrain is far ahead of Indonesia considering per capita GDP.

The trend of secular nation's achievement is clearly apparent in the stats. Yet, people continue to exhibit fundamentalist mentality and assert secularism is evil. I have been to Indonesia and stayed there for some time. It is a wonderful country, wonderful people, tolerant, prosperous, progressive and what not. I would recommend anybody to visit the beautiful country of Indonesia.

This, however, is not necessarily a measure of standard of living. In that respect Qatar and UAE would rank at the top.

Kazakhastan, being a secular country, has the highest standard of living among all former USSR states.
