Unfortunately, why does that mausoleum look like a bunker?

Because it is a Mausoleum.

Can someone please tell me why I lost all my pictures in post #1 and #3 and advice me how can I avoid future occurrences.

Perhaps, criterias for voting, buildings considered, if:

- It is a building [high-rise], of course.
- It is expensive.

Constructor small or low-rise and ugly in the world, there are millions.

Xinhua has obtained prior display permission from CNN on their site so any further transfer for displaying in another media will not be allowed without prior approval from the owner. There is nothing much you can do about it.

I think a lot of Soviet block style buildings look the worst. Orwells 1984 probably created that impression of secret government torture of its citizens.

None of those buildings deserved to be there, in my opinion. The top two I actually find very cool.

Anyway, if I could indicate a building to that list, perhaps to replace that of Petrobrás, it'd be our Central Bank's. It's both dull and pretentious in its attempt to look modern.
