There's a meme on social media and a news articles on that meme that a hacker hacked few Pakistani http websites,
What was happening is just redirecting to new default page created to panic everyone.
i.e
You can visit www.msn.com
It will take you to it's default webpage, (developers have options to make it selectable personally by the visitors or based on their location.)
In my case it takes me to the following default page
https://www.msn.com/en-xl/
This is called defacing a website not hacking.
What's embarrassing is that the official small offices websites are running on low cost solution http is marked as unsafe by chrome browser since 2018.
Second the low cost solution https are also run by third party Indian based HostGator and likes.
Third. government or PTA was never asked to sign the website as safe because hammering equipment is PTAs job but handling data isn't (sarcasm)
how it happened,
Definitely a password was stolen from phone or PC, we all know how key loggers can be used to get passwords from PC, and in phone specially android
Many people are still using Indian apps specially UC browser bc it has built-in proxy, but it is highly unsafe you're volunteering to give your passwords.
Following are the developers behind most of the Indian apps
Look for more developers and pta needs to block all these apps by analysing it's outbound inbound traffic to it's servers via wire shark or any other network monitoring tool.

Ever heard of root your Android phone to get adminstrative access or run pirated premium apps
The root also gives you right to install custom build recovery and rom(OS)
A custom rom Cyanogenmod is made by indain developers, highly unstable and unsafe
And
There's a pirated app website onhax and others which are run by Indian developers,
You can bind another app for key logging task with any app.
Which acquire key logs from all pages and apps and send it directly to it's assigned address.
Which means your all passwords and chats or any input have been sent
And the app can also take screen shots
It's done via RAT or remote access trojan tool.
It's actually a noob job anyone with little experience with computers can do this.
Also these indian franchises should be exposed at international media bc by agreement they can't support even their own government in war or peace by providing passwords of their users,
How to prevent it
Government websites aren't a child's play and shouldn't be treated like one, every government brings their own people to support them, (don't judge me I am all PTI)
A special certificate should be provided by PTA to the developers who can build a professional website with security and it should be regulated to get that certificate before getting any website contract, like that 3 weeks certificate for applying in any government job as UDC or LDC.
Local web hosting via personal and isolated static ip webserver is required to host websites, PTA should also make a team of penetration testers who will done regular checking on these websites and make sure that the password of all adminstrative rights shouldn't fall into wrong hands
We need these rules ASAP, protect first than we'll give them what they're asking for just be calm and pray for our soldiers.
Massive cyber attack is on it's way to India.
They just lost their chance for surprise attack by attacking small personal businesses websites, sponsored cyber attacks target crucial Data, which are protected well that is why the butt hurt move was used to create confusion here, PTA protected websites are still up and running government websites don't have any crucial Data online Nadra has the most invulnerable database server which can't be hacked (our Yusuf Raza gilani shb and Nawaz Sharif handed over data physically to the CIAs Cambridge analytíca which is the whole other debate)
We're well protected, you only have to keep an eye on the enemy within PTM, ANP, MQM, PMLn, BLA etc
