What's new

Today is the day for Pakistan to decide, you want enmity or friendship - Afghanistan President.

Before 1979 they were continuously making propaganda against our country regarding the Pakhtunistan, Loye Afghanistan etc.
Claimed land till Attock.
When civil war started in 1979, what was the sane thing for Pakistan to do? Support its own people.
90s, USSR withdrew they again started the anti Pakistan agenda and pro India thing. Pro India approach make Pakistan nervous. We can not afford two hostile borders.
Taliban came, so does the peace. Suited Pakistan, we supported them.
In 2001, we went against the Taliban due to the US war. That was the worst thing we did. We recognized them and now we were putting their ambassador in Jail. That was the worst thing any country can do and we did it.
Now Taliban are again powerful, may be if Afghanistan and Pakistan both act sanely i.e. Afghanistan by not going into Indians lap and Pakistan being neutral. Peace will come back to Afghanistan but both Hekmatyar and Taliban need to be part of that peaceful Afghanistan.
So you see its not just Pakistan's fault, more fault is that of Afghans. If they want to live as our friends, we will of course want a stable Afghanistan. But if they be hostile, no one wants a stable enemy.

Look at the language . This language and intentions are in the Public then think what they did to Pakistan in recent years by not accepting that they did it . I think he has lost it after USA told him something .

a donkey on it's last ropes

the reality it is they who need to decide.

> US has abandoned them
> India is useless
> Russia, China, Iran, Turkey all recognize the Taliban legitimacy
> Afgan army is ineffectual at best

Pakistan doesn't care, bcos it knows Afgan Taliban will smash them the moment Americans withdraw..

imagine if some foreign superpower (Russia, USA or whatever) invaded Pakistan and India was busy supporting both this foreign powers and radical insurgents, with no thought of what the official government wanted, in effect prolonging the war and paying (or even getting paid for by this foreign superpower) for the destruction of Pakistan from both sides. how would the common Pakistani feel, specially when he sees Indians bragging about it? and then some wonder why a common Afghan dislikes Pakistan.

the majority of Afgan support Taliban... stop watching godi media
Well Afghans hate Pakistanis and Pakistan what's news here actually?
There's no Indian hand here, just an Afghan leader speaking his mind

The godless communists, Loy Pakhtun brigade and certain Uzbeks/Tajiks hate Pakistan. The hated isn't as visceral as is depicted online. Most of the anti-Pakistan Afghans have ties to India, one way or another. They consider Bharat a necessary ally in achieving their wet-dream of Loy Afghanistan

Well if they claim the land ofcourse they'll send people to use the resources if needed, they see those Areas as part of Afghanistan.
Afghans do come to India but it's much easier to move to Pakistan.

Most Afghans eventually start hating Pakistan it's a fact. The poor ones might not but just because they need the support or don't know as much. They change once they are well to do, you can especially see the ones that get settled in western countries or more educated ones. And why not actually, they feel Pakistan is destabilizing their nation and occupying their land. Ofcourse they turn anti Pakistan once they get the big picture.

Mayor of Kabul days are numbered. Better to ignore this irrelevant clown. Important custodians are already working on a solution which suits us.

Today, we are also slapping the face of a supapowa in our latest decision, and I'm not even referring to USA..

we are also dealing with a nuclear superpower who is forced to take loan from peter to pay paul . and i am not referring CHINA.

Lolz. When did we claim to be a supapawa of any sort?? Hindustan is the only vaccine/economic/deep sea/space faring supapawa in south Asia. All your neighbours are in awe at your prowess in the above fields of human development. Several are waiting for vaccine shipments though, including your bhai bhai Afghanis, but still they recognise your credentials. Kabul remains confident that India will deliver.

We however have no interest in making such hand joining modi-jee empty promises. We remain within our non-supapawa aukat.

when you say things like "Afghanistan" is Pakistan's backyard, than it makes it hard for me to believe that. how much larger is Pakistan? India is 7× larger but I doubt any Indian can guy Pakistan is it's "backyard". Large countries like China and USA talk like that about Vietnam and Mexico like the respectively. you don't have to be an empire to be have imperialist tendencies.

well, it was for your own interests. and this little adventure with the help of imperialist USA (which had been and was on many other anti-Soviet trips like that) led to a chaotic civil war in Afghanistan ending with a pro-Pakistan regime in Kabul. and then came the WoT when Pakistan again for it's own self interests let America go into Afghanistan once again and **** it up. and then it continued to fund Taliban prolonging the war, for it's own interest.

Everything Pakistan did was for it's own interests, at the detriment of Afghan interests.
India's population is around 7 times Pakistan's. Pakistan's population is so much larger than Afghanistan's that Karachi alone has more people than Afghanistan. Afghanistan's economic and military strength is also non existent compared to Pakistan.

lots of nations have been liberated from foreign occupation and dictators like this. Iraq, Libya, and what not. currently they are trying to liberate Syria. do you seriously not think that maybe Afghanistan and many other countries would have been in a better place if foreigners stopped trying to liberate them?

You seem to writing a bit sensibly but with a clear bias against Pakistan. However, I am willing to have a fair discussion with you.

You raise some good points but I would counter, where and when in the world have you seen otherwise? You keep pointing at Pakistan meddling in Afghan affairs and that it is wrong and so on.

Has India not meddled in Pakistan's affairs? Every time there is a problem in India and you all need a scapegoat, you conveniently blame Pakistan and remind us of what happened in 1971. So, lets take that considering that is the benchmark with how India would like to deal with Pakistan. Back then, did you not meddle in your neighbour's internal affair? You could not handle the so called Bengali refugees pouring into India and used that as a pretext to "liberate" East Pakistan from the clutches of West Pakistan. Of course, we all know what the ultimate objective was...it was to defang a larger Pakistan and to cut it to size so you can manage this threat. To be honest, I think India was quite successful until 1998 when a new status quo was established.

Then, how about the IPKF that you so conveniently sent into Sri Lanka, as a means to maintain peace. Is this not considered meddling in another country's affairs?

So, now that you are projecting soft-power into Afghanistan to clearly change their perception of Pakistan, is that not a form of meddling? You may be very proud of your achievements in Afghanistan and it may have had an impact on the ordinary Afghan. However, we have done our share of goodwill as well. We hosted millions of Afghan refugees to the point they are well integrated into our society. A lot of them have Pakistan as their second home. Next, Pashtuns form the largest segment of Afghan society though the largest portion of Pashtun diaspora is in Pakistan. Its funny how Afghanistan claims Pakistan considering we have far more Pashtuns than Afghanistan. If this was the yardstick, we should be claiming over half of Afghanistan, which we dont. Yet, the influence we can exert on Afghanistan is quite obvious and quite natural and should not come as a surprise.

Our state policy using Taliban in Afghanistan was going pretty well all the way upto 2001 where the Taliban successfully occupied 90% of the country and had in fact started bringing quite a bit of stability which had been absent for more than 20 years. This tool was needed since Pakistan's Western neighbour kept attacking and caused quite bit of problem. With the Taliban in control, this problem was aleviated. Just as India, we to are selfish and primarily care about ourselves first. We need to be secure then everyone else. That is exactly what any country would do.

So, in short, Pakistan is simply protecting itself in a manner it sees fit just as India managed its own threats on its borders using opportunities to maximum advantage.

My friend, this is our world...this is the real world....wake up!
