1. BD is waiting for a strong, patriotic leader who will come out open to formalize a treaty of friendship and defense. Such a treaty should include, among other points:

b. PLAN and PLAAF should be allowed to establish bases - including those for nuclear subs.

c. BD must come under the Chinese nuclear umbrella with option to place nukes in BD.

d. BD and China are to cooperate in international diplomacy.

We can work with other countries too on that. Not just with China.

2. Such a treaty will ensure non-interference and ill treatment by India. We need to be aggressive. India is weak from the inside. We need to tell her by our actions that she is disillusioned into imagining we are frightened of her. We are not.

It's high time we do assert ourselves. We need to remove this bigoted regime. We cannot determine just what India's policy toward Bangladesh would be now and the future.

Let me assure you one thing, support for the current government is not that high among Bangladeshis at the moment. People are angry at the regime and do want change. And by people, I mean common folks. And frankly, I do not think they give enough importance to Bangladesh. And if any key decisions are taken by them, it is often done so under misinformed and reckless assumptions.

The BNP members aren't really making a big difference either. All the previous fatcats during the BNP administration are still trying to prove themselves. And that is a futile attempt by them. The key weakness in the BNP currently are the people in there.

Technically, we do not face any military threat from India at the moment, and they wouldn't dare invade us. Most of the threat are covert related.

Indian army has given arms to Khasias and some ill motivated chakmas ( so called Indian stooges Shanti Bahini). If we give arms to our border region people and train them properly BSF and other ill motivated forces will not be able to stand against any Bangladeshi. I think there is no alternation of that as BSF is killing Bangladeshis like birds. They must be retreated with same action. They deserve that. It must be happened if those coward does not learn from the history. We can't allow such mass killing by the aggressors.

China has two options to secure routes to the BoB. One is direct China-Burma route and the other is China-Burma-BD route China is friendly to both its neighbours and can use both the options. However, BD is more capable to operate a big deep sea port because its port bureaucrats have become more professional and experinced to handle international bulk cargoes.

China has shown interest to build a deep sea port in BD. Once commissioned, this port will allow much of the Chinese international trade through it. Using this port will save Chinese ships to evade a few thousand kms of journey through Malacca to Shanghai. The new deep sea port can be made feasible to handle also China's import of oil from the middle-east. New unloading platforms and pumping stations may be built to pump oil through a three-country pipeline to China.
