Ray sir,

I am going to ask you again, is it a fact that "China produces far more food for more people with less farming land than India"?

I don't have the statistics.

However, my point is very straight - the country that can feed its population with whatever its produces, does not have to produce surpluses.

A country that may produce the world highest food grain but cannot feed its population and has to import/ease, is a failure!

A check of any thread will indicate it is the Chinese who go in circles and into total irrelevance and lastly spewing the the details given by the CCP to spread around the world.

They have a name for such an Army - remember?

What part did you not understand? India is self sufficient in food, from its own land. China is almost self-sufficient, not wholly, but makes it up with imports.
And to the fanboys cheering up his ignorance, google up some numbers on your own, or do you like it rubbed into your face every time by others?

Yeah, but the majority of the Indian people should be able to afford the onions first.

It has now become dirt cheap!

No more import!

But then the exotic food eaten in China would have overcome malnutrition and shortages whenever it happens.

One must learn from China and make the best use of anything that moves or grows.

Please understand, if there is a requirement to produce more, India would.

It can feed its people with what it produces.

Note again, China CANNOT feed its teeming millions and so it has to IMPORT and LEASE foreign land.

If that is true, then how do you explain the fact that India has more poverty and starvation than Africa does?

BBC NEWS | South Asia | 'Hunger critical' in South Asia

A Unicef report in May said the world was failing its children by not ensuring that they had enough to eat.

The report said India contributed to about 5.6 million child deaths per year, more than half the world's total.

Such hypocrisy from the Indian members here. Boasting about being able to feed your people in comparison to us, when you clearly can't.

Then, it should be no more import of the foreign weapons as well.

South Asia is not India alone.

Malnutrition is because of food habits and the misconception in rural areas that having a meal means 'eating to the full'.

They do not understand the meaning of a 'whole meal' and also because of being vegetarians to include that they don't even want to eat eggs!

Compared with meat, poultry industry has registered significant growth. India ranks fifth in the world with annual egg production of 1.61 million tones.

And because of people not wanting to even eat eggs, it is exported.

Ahh, another vain Chinese to the front to belittle India.
Maybe you could do better by asking CCP to give Chinese people some cooking oil so they stop killing each other for it. Link
Oh wait!! I forgot you cant do that, chances are you get run over by a tank!!!

This is what you said:

What a hypocrite. This coming from India, the starvation capital of the world.

Starvation capital?

India is a capital?

Rather odd understanding of English you have.

Now, do something about your inflation and food riots as Bandit has explained.
