I'm talking about a holy site - like mecca,medina,jerusalem,rome.Constantinopole was sacred to orthodox christians ,yet they lost it.Because they were weaker and got conquered.Same case i see in jerusalem.Muslim arabs were weaker and got conquered and lost their site which also happenes to be jewish holy site.At least jews allowed al aqsa mosque to remain these 50 years and not convert it into temple of solomon,not like turks converted hagia sophia from church to mosque.In both cases i see victory of might over right or religious sentiment.
Jews won 3 wars over arabs,palestinians ran away in 1947 from their homes like cowards..now how can any realistic person expect the jews to surrender all their conquests and sacrifices for free to people they have defeated?It makes no sense and has never happened in history.

It hasn't in 50 years.If the israelis decide tomorrow to convert al aqsa into new temple of solomon like the hagia sophia ,what will you do.You can do nothing.You know why,because you have no power.This is sad reality,might decides the world.

Christianity and Islam and Judaism don't work like Hinduism. In which there are many gods and every God has his own temple. The Jerusalem is the Holy site for Jews Christians and Muslims all three the Thing which you are trying to relate about Turkey is secondary it is like just a church but Jerusalem has more importance for all three religions. For Jews there was a Temple of Solomon here for Christians it is a place of Crusifiction of Christ and for Muslims it AL-Haram AL-Sharif. This is bigger than all churches and Mosques and Temples around the world. You cannot compare the 7 churches of Constantinople to Jerusalem. The current issue is about the Capital of Israel and Issue is that Palestine has not been invaded and there was a cease fire deal and under that deal it cannot be declared the capital. Now the place where the temple of Solomon was is still under Muslim control and if all Muslims countries agree to make embassies in Palestine and start making Palestinian Army and forces and deploy troops to protect Palestine who will lose it will be Israel because they will be only left with the western wall which is under Israeli control. Then why the worldwide rage?If all is alright and israel hasn't done anything,and can't build anything.Israel has jerusalem by conquest and can only be removed by conquest.Worldwide whining is meaningless.Israelis as victors in war will not give away their conquests for free.No power in history has done that.

As a Turk I totally agree with you. We took constantinople by force, we killed many people and forcefully took that holy city from christians. Why? Well because we wanted to.

From that point of view I agree that any nation powerful enough to invade a territory has the right to invade it. I have to accept this phenomenon otherwise I would be a bigoted hypocrite.

If Israel is really powerful enough to invade and keep previously arab lands, just because they want to, then sure, there is no problem. Then they deserve to rule over arab territories.

But the question is "if".

Well as a Turk I really have no horse in this race so I am just watching this all situation with popcorn in my hands, wondering the end result.

But I agree that even if Israel might not be as powerful as being able to deal with millions of enemies all at once, the nuclear stockpile they have still means something.

Lets just wait and see what the future will bring shall we?

In any case, as the oldest of the Abrahamic religious, Israel has the natural right over Jerusalem. That is my personal POV.
