Well my maternal side was from Iran and they are fluent in Persian but i have never been there neither can i speak the language

Yes its very much similiar a lot of words are even common since Urdu has a lot of Persian and Arabic words. My mother speaks fluently so i guess because of my family i do sometimes have a desire to visit. I am sure Persians are very hospitable people
