LOL i missed the duolingo part completely. My mistake. And yeah english is taught in BD schools but the standard is very poor in bengali medium. English taught in english medium schools with UK cambridge/edexcel curriculum is of decent level and student actually learn english since all the subjects are in english apart from a single bengali language subject. Though it varies from school to school. Some schools r really good but some are of super poor quality.

I cant give you any links,because i know first hand who they are and what they represent,for instance,they are linked to the PKK,how can a Turkish socialist group be linked to a terror organisation like the PKK if its not the same?

Though pronouncing vice I found Mandarin harder than Cantonese....Actually I have problems with the Mandarin tones they have a very thick "err" sounding @Chinese-Dragon is that right?

The heavy "err" sound is from the Beijing accent (a lot of Mandarin teachers have the Beijing accent).

So it's a lot easier to learn the "Standard Mandarin" pronunciation if it is available.
