What's new

This is not Europe, This is Bangladesh ! Thank You Hasina

70km "Express" road in year 2020 lol. Yup we are in highway of development.

Yaar almsot every major interchange on motorway looks like this in every major city it crosses in Pakistan am i wrong. Its a basic overlay of a one-directional 4 Way entry exit from highway anywhere around the world. it cannot get simpler then this. I am sure Bangladesh will have better Road Infrastructure then an interchange.

.
I don't see any reason to insult Bangladesh for their clover leaf interchange. It is good that the country is progressing. As long as they progress :-) we don't even mind them saying they are progressing coz they are not part of Pakistan :) if it makes them happy. Good for you guys. We hope you progress even more.

Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway

Looking at the picture above, anyone might think this is a road in Europe or a developed country. But no, this is the road of country’s first expressway where you can reach Mawa from Dhaka in just 20 minutes. Let’s took the pictures of Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway —

Great news. Did you discover fire?

Please, please, do not ridicule Bangladesh and its great people.

I didn't intend to ridicule Bangladesh... Trust me... Maybe it's overestimation to expect BD to be like SK by 2030-35 but certainly I was not ridiculing....

No development and no progress until the country builds manufacturing plants where new wealth is created every hour of the day and people get employed permanently. A highway here and a bridge there are no recipe of development.

These highways and bridges are what is causing companies both home and abroad to build manufacturing plants.
No infrastructure, no factories.

I hope it happens as per your prediction. However, I do not see any such manufacturing plants along all other roads and highways and BEZA is planning 100 SEZ for the last 50 years.

No they have not been.
These 100 SEZs have only been planned in the last 10 years.

As the infrastructure and the purchasing power of the BD population gets greater, then both domestic and foreign companies are/will build the manufacturing plants.
Already 10s of thousands of jobs by both local and foreign companies have been created in the SEZs and so this is not just talk but actually happening. China has firmed up plans to build a 2.5 billion US dollar integrated steel mill in one of the SEZs as one example of how attractive BD has become for FDI these days.

We can be negative with this silly post by the OP or we can be realistic and say that although BD is nowhere near Europe now but it is heading in the right direction and has by far the best economy in the subcontinent - who would have thought 10 years ago that tea pickers and farm labourers would now be earning 6-7 US dollars for an eight hour day!

You have to understand that a mere $2 billion dollar investment in a given year will only add about $500 million to the GDP in the subsequent years after production starts. BD needs at least $20 billion investment per year to grow economically. I do not think FDIs will come in that scale.

Our own people"s investment in manufacturing is the most essential component for future growth. However, govt is wasting money on unnecessary projects and capital investment by private hands are shy. Our people are a bunch of thieves who borrow money from the Banks, do not invest it but buy land properties and declare bankruptcy of their companies. Enact laws to fill up the loopholes that encourage cheating and swindling.

This may force people to change their culture and more money will be invested by the private organizations.
