Gurmehar Kaur was two-years-old when she lost her father. Captain Mandeep Singh died in the line of duty during the 1999 Kargil war. In a video produced and shared by Ram Subramanian, Kaur recollects her childhood.

Kaur's video is impactful in a quiet, strong way. Instead of speaking, Kaur does something way more powerful. She writes out facts about her life and her message on placards which she holds up one after another for the viewers to see.

Kaur says she has very little memory of her father. However, what she does have, is the memory of growing up without one. She remembers that she hated Pakistan and all Pakistanis. Apart from that, she also hated all Muslims, assuming they are Pakistanis and hence were responsible for her father's death. Understandably, a young Kaur made these assumptions based on the conversations around her father's death.

The one day, overcome with hatred, she tried to stab a Muslim woman in a burkha.

A section of people on social media often try to justify their irrational and dangerous hatred towards all Pakistanis and Muslims, by arguing that it is all of Pakistan which has taken the lives of several Indian soldiers. And since Pakistanis are mostly Muslims, they try to illogically paint all Muslims as enemies of India's freedom and its majority religion, Hinduism. While rational thinking would have made them see the hypocrisies in their argument, they often choose propaganda and hatred over reason.

However, Gurmehar, who actually lost her father to war, has the most rational, mature take on the issue. One can only hope that her video holds up a mirror to those spouting hatred relentlessly.

This Article assume Indians have an irrational hate for Muslims and Pakistanis, which is just absolute bullcrap no matter how badly Pakistanis would like this to be true...

You just need to look online to see Hindus' vile hatred of Muslims.

Believe me, on yahoo news, even if the article has nothing to do with Islam--you'll see Indians commentating and "up" voting derogatory comments about Muslims and Islam everywhere (by using white-sounding names but their comment history would reveal that they are from india lol)..

So we do understand indians/hindus hatred for Muslims and Islam.

Both Pakistanis have a dislike or distrust of Hindus and Indians a dislike and distrust of Muslims. In each countries education the other religious group is vilified and demonized. This has been a fundamental flaw from the very day of independence as each country has tried to prioritize the care of its people from their own religion.

What our family went through during the days of migration is what many Hindu families in Pakistan may have gone through. Denying that Indians have an irate dislike of Muslims while some have a hatred for them is declining a basic reality and a universal truth.

Anti Muslim Statements ? Criticism does not mean Anti Muslim
Sure, the usage of smileys is a good way to mask your own pithiful character.

The Indian presence has both to do with hate and a massive insecurity of ego. There is literally NOTHING the collective Internet Indian wont do to try and be praised and recognized as "superior". That means going to every possible nook and cranny of the internet and making sure that India is reflected positively and those they hate are reflected negatively.

Nonsense.
Hindus & Sikhs have no NEED to make these kinds of videos. Victims of terrorism are not needed to make any gestures to appease the sickular sycophants.

Fact is, our fight is not against muslims. It never was. It is about terrorism and how few sickulars & presstitutes support them at the cost of the nation and unity.
