So 2 Pakistanis and one faker make a point.....where does that leave you.
First prove your own worth before being a champion for others.....may i remind you there is a reason you had to adopt another ID and your worthless posts are often deleted.....we have all heard of blind leading blind but a faker voicing for a stray is a new one.
Any ways, since this old thread has been bumped up, i will make proper corrections to it.
The source in OP did get it wrong since the first Blue on Blue in the subcontinent happened during the 1965 war and not in 1971. And once again the honour goes to the Indian ground defences.

He is not the only cockroach here.....self respect is one word some of these creatures are oblivious of.
No An-12 were lost in 1965. Only losses prior were in 1963 and later in 1968. debris shown belong to self destructed missile.
On 8 September 1965, one SA-2 was fired against an unidentified target believed to have been on a night mission above Ghaziabad near Delhi. It should be noted that this happened at the height of the paratrooper scare and subsequent news reports gleefully claimed the destruction of a Pakistani C-130 west of Delhi – which turned out to not have any basis. No Pakistani Air Force aircraft ever penetrated as deep as Delhi during the 1965 conflict. The subsequent publication of the photograph of the wreckage in a TV broadcast seemed to indicate that the wreck of the self-destructed missile was shown as the shot down aircraft !

In 1965 there were one blue on blue on each side (One PAF RB-57B shot down by own AAA and one IAF Mystere shot down by own AAA).

Look at you with your facts , truth , honesty and all .... Why ?

OP just proclaimed 2 posts back that this entire thread is a total dumpster fire and based on his/her lack of understanding 😂

HAHAHA! So this entire thread is wrong ??

All your municipal school English wasted on complete BS ?

YOU ARE HILARIOUS 😁. Though you don't ever mean to! Surely you deserve our applause for this buffoonery🙌

Just look at you , got a little attention and now you are behaving like you know all.
If you had any knowledge on the subject, you would have gone berserk in an effort to correct me ,but then again monkeys often make a racket when they see some one holding even a plastic banana.

Your claims are as credible as your previous half a dozen IDs.
So you are saying that the Indian authorities in their propaganda efforts were showing the wreckage of their SAM missile and claiming it to be parts of C-130.....although nothing is past your Agni Pankh Patils...so how do you expect your warlords to admit that it's a wreckage of their own Transport aircraft after habitually gloating to the world that they have shot down a PAF C-130.....and recent developments both on LOC and LAC have once again proven how the Delhi drama queens twist the stories to keep their Junta feeling good hence you are no exception.

Well, fuss pot , it's beyond your pathetic mind set to comprehend what i said earlier.
So you just do the mujra for your country fellows but try not to get your Saree in twist.

This article is about the very first "friendly fire" causality in the region of Subcontinent. The achievement is held by none other than the Indian Air Force during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

During 1971 war, Pakistan Air Force operated Dassault Mirage IIIR for photo reconnaissance missions. Mirages conducted regular photo recce missions in Ferozepur area to update the ground commanders about Indian reinforcement efforts aimed at vacating the incursion.

An important mission involved recce of crossing points over Gang Canal for a careful scrutiny of obstacles across the waterway that could possibly impede the movement of II Corps of Indian Army.

Two pilots who played a sterling role in the photo recce operations were Sqn Ldr Farooq Umar and Flt Lt Najib Akhtar. Of the 30 photo recce sorties (besides 15 escorts) flown by No 5 Squadron "Falcons" before and during the war, 22 were considered successful.

In Shakargarh Sector, a few night recce missions were attempted with partial success.
In one such mission on the night of 11 December, an IAF MiG-21 "Fishbed" scrambled to intercept a Mirage flown by Sqn Ldr Farooq Umar.
While the Mirage departed at high speed, the MiG-21 carried out ''Atol'' missile attack and shooting down another MiG-21 flown by Flt Lt A B Dhavle, which was patrolling in the vicinity.

Four-odd Bomb Damage Assessment missions were also flown following the initial strikes on runways.

The first blue on blue incident happened in 1965 war when a 24 squadron RB.57F which was flown by Squadron leader M.Iqbal with Flt.Lt Saifullah Lodhi as his navigator was shot down over Rahwali airfield by own AAA,both died.

Other than F/L Afzal Jamal Siddiqui who was shot down by his CO,most likely S/L Cecil Choudry was also shot down by own AAA while flying an interdiction sortie over Zafarwal sector. He was the flight commander of 18 Squadron back then.

These incidents are part and parcel of flying, don't think it's reasonable to name and shame one particular airforce for it.

It would help you to read through the thread before jumping in with your posts.
The Indians claimed to have shot down a PAF C-130 during the 1965 war......turns out to be their own AN-12....

Doesn't matter especially if the aim to provide correct information, kindly do some research before starting a thread.

Cheers and have a nice day.

Well it's not exactly my claim, we all rely on sources.....sometimes they are correct and sometimes they are not......however the main point is that it were Indians who scored the first Blue on Blue.....the RB-57 incident happened towards the end.
