well no information about pakistani defnce comes out intil ISPR clears it its a hard fact about pakistan bit OK OK you can dream and still belive it as ultimate truth who cares :sarcastic:
thats what you are told by ISPR ... but OK why should i be least botherred cause unlike PAF an avrage indian fighter is flown 2.5 times more every year as every single jet is used by three to four diffrent pilots to train and each fighter pilot clocks at least 250 flying hours in a fighter jet but ok pakistanies can make fun and get sarcastic fun from indian mig 29K's issue no problem with us :D :tup::sarcastic:
Yes Guru Miah, JF-17/Single engine, repeatedly flown to airshows in Europe, Middle East, China and other countries not to mention taking over some ADA duties from F-16s and scoring a kill of a spy UAV are all stories created by the ISPR.

Our pilots sit in the jet whilst being towed on a truck pretending to fly it right???

JF-17 participates in world class air shows not second tier commercial entity.
How many fighter aircraft did exactly participated in the BAS.
What are plans for 26 January, another trailer or a just a flypast in the blink of an eye.

but point is IN wanted a CATOBAR fighter with decent pyload and range where Mig29K fitted the best buts its engine was always a problem but more problem was greedy nature of russian and there spare parts diliverry scedule which was the main culprit hence IN statrted looking for alternatives and now wants two full squads of (36) rafaleM for new carrier under construction and two of her sister ships

Yes good luck with your ambitions but as someone said thus question remains, while there are other operators of these systems then why all these issues are with IAF machines. !!!

your wrong again Mig29K are operated by Navy and they have 45 K & KUB version while IAF have 63 UPG Mig29s which dont have these same issues any more the main issue with engine is with Mig29K & KUB and MKI earlier series and most of those enines are now replaced or modified in MKI fleet while after super sukhoi MLU they will get a pair pf next gen 145 Kn engine which is said to be at least 6 -8 stimes lesser mantainence oriented than that currentelly on MKi while IN is in talks with russians for next gen engine and Radar & EW & ECM& RWR& complete avionics change on Mig29K & KUB series

i believe its more of an india problem than a russia problem, malaysia, algeria and eygpt all have the latest variants of the su-30 and/or the mig 29 and have incurred no major problems.

Yes, it indeed seems to be an India issue, rather than equipment, for example they had 2 with their su-30 in 2017.
To be fair about the mig 29's; they are indeed troubled fighters, considering the Russians themselves focused keeping their su 27 series in service/updating, neglecting the mig 29, after the fall of the Soviet Union.

It is not even the air force alone, they are struggling very hard with keeping their Arjun MBT in service, according a report of 2016, none of them were operation since 2013.

The problem lies with QC procedures and acceptance at time of delivery. The IN isn’t just facing bad engines, it is facing submarines that sink in the harbor , rusting ships and general incompetence of its enlisted cadre. Oddly, this is in complete contrast with its commissioned strength who are fairly good and informed folk. So either there is a small but determined corrupt section that is hand in band with taking defective items from the Russians or wuite simply Russia is hell bent on fleecing the Indians- ironic since the Baniya has the reputation of never paying for more.

Substandard equipment isn’t just limited to the Russians in India and seems to be a problem with internal purchases as well. Although that is in all honesty a subcontinent issue of dishonesty that is only solved with sticks up the working class butt.

sabotage plays a big part and goes hand in hand with corruption thats the main issue why arjun was always fleeced with problmes and russian tanks were always given a walkover

even the hatch of newly build nuclear sub was kept open rendring it unusebale for six months

same way there was bad ammo supplied to indian made field gns and the list is longer

defnce baboons are at it and non corrupt govt alone cant change it all in just three and half years ... hope you get the point :coffee:

its could be to the fact that india cant maintain the properly even though they build them. look at the Malaysian mkm's, there based of the indian mki and they have not encountered any problems.

russia would not risk selling sub standard parts to india as they are milking them already with the talwar frigates, t90 tanks ,su57 ,parts for soviet era aircraft, etc...... i fail to believe "its crappy russian kit" as you guys call it "maal". i suspect the problem is within india pushing them towards western vendors.

I think the sabotage story is just fiction and generally a dismissive excuse to a greater issue of workforce training and honesty of purpose.

To cite any government as some miracle worker or non corrupt is fiction. The current government relies on fascist proposals to try to push this image and blames it all on the previous one but that is typical of all governments to blame the last one. The problem lies in a mix of human nature and a need for the educated to take ownership of the less fortunate and bring them upto par on standards and purpose.

Take the recent video of the commandoes falling from the helicopter, these enlisted taking the video continue to watch it as some show rather than jumping out to help their comrade in arms; it shows a clear disconnect between training and honest wish to serve and protect. That is not a detriment to the people or the population but an attitude issue where the enlisted are not being given ownership of their purpose as protectors of India.

Whichever it is, the blame lies to a large extent with the personell and no amount of crying over corruption or sub-standard parts will change the responsibility of that being only upon Indians themselves; a message given poignantly in a bollywood movie called “rang de basanti”

no bhai sabotage is very real i can show you a chart how Arjun was made to sweat while T90 even bieng far inferior given a walk over and rules relaxed for it again and again and yet again same things are done with indian made ammoand other military equipment and smal arms

as for mantainence and training is concerned its up there but its the corruption in procurement and red tape at every level that is killing the young pilots and mantainence crews are getting bad name while corrupt baboons are going scot free and when NaMo changed the current procurement policy suddenly all babboons in MOD and enforcement are against him and crying democracy and merit is in danger
