The relationship between the U.S. and Pakistan heading in the right direction

No they are not Ali bhai. Why did it took so long to approve Zulu sale? Words are wind, janab.

You wanna see a relationship headed in the right direction? Take a look at our relations with China. We just got 3 Z10s for evaluation and that proves Pakistan's accessibility to China's top notch weapons. The same cannot be said about US.

Why is it that despite the nature of our alliance, US failed to supply a much needed weapon that was to used for securing the AF-PAK border?

what is top notch about the Z-10 ? How come PAF is not flying a J-10 ?

The U.S. and Pakistan continue to build on their improving relationship and both share a common stance against terrorism. It is important for our officials to meet regularly and address any shared concerns and to prevent any issues from arising.

Several steps have been taken to further enhance our association. For example: our senior officials met in Islamabad last month to discuss trade promotion efforts, entrepreneurship, diversification of agriculture, intellectual property rights, and initiatives to boost investment under the bilateral Joint Action Plan, a plan created by President Obama and Prime Minister Sharif in 2013 to boost two-way trade and investment. US wants to strengthen ties with Pakistan? After sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan. After killing our soldiers and civilians. After leaving us to die a horrible death after Afghan war?

US is only interested to maintain a relationship with Pakistan because it cannot let us fall in Chinese nexus. The Chinese visit is hurting a lot!.

But this time we cannot fall into a single nexus, we will have to keep a balance of maintaining stronger relationships with Beijing, Moscow and Washington.

But we will have to be more cautious. Americans building "anything" here should be inspected carefully. Even their NGOs are caught supporting and spreading terrorism here.

@CENTCOM you are facilitating the Traitors like Hussain Haqqani , give them time on your main stream media to spread Garbage on Pakistan and as @RAMPAGE mentioned , US did not release the weapons which Pakistan need to Fight this so called War on terror which was started by your Country , and spread it to Pakistan , and now your Spies are working deep inside Pakistan without any possible Intelligence sharing , and you call this a Mutually respected Relationship ?
i mean Seriously ?

Commerce should be increased so the relationship is transformed from an aid based to a trade based relationship. Pakistani IT, Engineering and medical professionals needs to have an increased quota of H1-B Visas. Military to Military relationship should be enhanced with exchanges, exercises and training programs. Cultural and people to people relationship should also be enhanced. The US-Pakistan relationship is its 7th decade and needs to continue with a consistent pace.

No we don't want any relationship with US, thanks.
US is still Pakistan's largest export customer and please keep logic in your posts.

Pakistan desperately needs US trade relations rather than solely militarily one. Allowing Pakistan's textile products in US, rice, I.T cooperation will be a huge boost. Once these are done than we can look forward for a civilian nuclear deal. Civilian nuclear deal will stand out against all the odd, mistrust and ignorance between both the countries all these years.China is a good friend but US is something which we can never ignore and have a great attraction since the time of our birth.

If US want to establish good relation then its ok Pakistan should maintain good relations with all countries.

In an ideal world thats what Pakistan wants. We don't live in an ideal world do we. Its like game of thrones.

Hand over the culprits/ criminals who planned and executed attack on Salala Check post on the night of Novemebr 25, 2011 killing 24 and critically injuring 14 Pakistani sons.

This is Bloomberg and just listen to the vitriol from this so called expert.

Such a crude way to describe something positive happening in Pakistan. This is just tip of iceberg.

How can US say relationship is getting better when their media is still so obnoxious?

But we want good relations with yanks we screwed them the way we screwed gulf states in Yemen crisis pak is sick man of Asia and Asol of middle east nothing more nothing less .

Pakistan must maintain robust and close relationship with the US. China is Pakistan's time tested true friend but then relationships should not be mutually exclusive. As good as our relationship is with China , we must continue to strive for improved relationship all other countries, especially prosperous countries like the US and the European countries.

Here is a list of areas where I would like to see an improved relations with the US.

1. Education Sector. We could use more help in Education. More Scholarships and greater opportunities for Pakistani students to get Post Graduate education in the US. I would also like to see more US University campuses in Pakistan. In my humble opinion, to some extent US has an obligation towards Pakistan as it is a beneficiary of Pakistani Professionals who migrate to the US and serve US economy and US becomes the ultimate beneficiary of this " Brain Drain ".

2. Trade and Investments. I would like to see more Joint Ventures established between Pakistani and US Investors in areas of Manufacturing, Agriculture, Healthcare etc.

3. Infrastructure Development. The US could be an immense help in improving the infrastructure of Pakistan by building Power Plants, Hydro Dams, Solar and Wind energy Projects etc.

4. Cultural Exchange between Pakistan and the US could help eradicate a lot of misunderstandings between our People and our two Nations.

The only way now US have is to make big investments in Pakistan and one field is built big dams in Pakistan and give more economic freedom to Pakistan in US otherwise China already plan and soon US will loose its grip in Pakistan because now Pakistani's is looking friendship based on investment which China bring.

Good question.
  1. Increase more educational programs.
  2. Must built atleast two US universities in cities like Karachi & Lahore with minimum fee.
  3. Increase Investment in right areas, like we need electricity, trained manpower, technical staff and others.
  4. Most important is to make an educational aid and give our universities a billion dollar aid per year (as we all knows that all US Aid goes in our corrupt politicians pockets) and that make a good impact in our educated class and once middle class accept that it will give US a very positive response.
  5. Made one big dam so electricity and water problem will be resolved and we all know that US really helping us.
