After the recent press conference of ex-servicemen outside the Islamabad Press Club, it was rumored that Pakistan Army has withdrawn all post-retirement benefits including pension and free medical cover of 150 retired army officers. However now GHQ has cleared to Ansar Abbasi that number of such army officers is only 5. A retired Major general and a former spokesperson of 'Ex-sevicemen Society' is also included in these retired officers.

Maryam Nawaz has also asked the ex-servicemen to surrender their medals before issuing political statements, just few days prior to this action taken by GHQ. .

Politics is really getting dirtier in Pakistan.

Pakistan's largest political party, the Army, wants to do politics uncontested. When questions are raised of its role, it comes down with illegal orders.

No general is providing these pensions. Its the military providing this benefit to its retired officers. So this order is illegal just army's interference in politics is illegal and against their oath.

Its strange that serving army generals can interfere in politics while retired officers, who are civilians, cant do politics.

And we are told here by army apologists that army had no role in this regime change conspiracy!

I think there was a time when boys in uniform used to be silent and hardly interested in politics...but it seems Imran Khan is totally different breed who shake the thoughts of boys in uniform and the outcome .....
