The latest Incredible India Commercial, Directors Cut 2013

. .
except for split second display of Kaziranga at 1:26 nothing from NE India , meh, guess the producer doesn't find us incredible

.
i forgot him to advice that a foreign white woman in dehli and mumbai if roaming freely should always keep nut cracker tool in case of emergency :enjoy:
Its not that unsafe and these type pf incidents happen all around the world. You are talking of a nation with 1/7 th of total world population. Do comparative analysis.

Also keep in mind the number of tourists that visit India. Its multiple times than any neighboring countries.

Crime happens everywhere. Even in big cities and sometimes especially in big cities where people don't care about each other.

They forgot to show the part where the media is blindly and blatantly blaming everything on pakistan. Where is that part in the commercial? or did I miss it? The incredible india ad cannot be completed without someone blaming something on pakistan.

In reality, Indians really don't think about Pakistan unless there is a terrorist attack or Indo-Pak cricket match. They are more involved in their daily problems and blame everything on our govt., bureaucracy, corruption etc.

Sounds similar to what happens here, where people prefer not to say "no" directly, but will try to do it indirectly to avoid being rude.
Indians troll without speaking any word. We are too good in trolling. :D

why do they have a white woman as the centerpiece of the commerical?

they should show her attempting walk the streets of mumbai or delhi or perhaps taking a bus from there. :azn:

They already do :) there are foreigners who live in Mumbai, pune for job, research and hardly a day goes by when I do not see them on a bus or train in Mumbai,pune...and don't get me started with Africans, many of them have made India their second home for education and jobs :)

This one is not as good as previous one but then too its awesome :)

A shameful incident indeed...but are spanish,German women not raped in their own country?

.
I can guarantee you Mumbai or Delhi is much safer than any sqaure inch in Pakistan...

Not according to the United States Department of State.

U.S. citizens, particularly women, are cautioned not to travel alone in India. Western women, especially those of African descent, continue to report incidents of verbal and physical harassment by groups of men. Known locally as “Eve-teasing,” these incidents can be quite frightening. Eve-teasing can occur anytime or anywhere, but most frequently has happened in crowded areas such as in market places, train stations, buses, and public streets. The harassment can range from sexually suggestive or lewd comments, to catcalls, to outright groping. Southern India is very distinct from the other major cities and has a strong reputation for being very traditional. If you are a woman traveling in India, you are advised to respect local dress and customs. According to the latest figures by Indian authorities, rape is the fastest growing crime in India. Among large cities, Delhi experienced the highest number of crimes against women. Although most victims have been local residents, recent sexual attacks against female visitors in tourist areas underline the fact that foreign women are at risk and should exercise vigilance.

Women should observe stringent security precautions, including avoiding use of public transport after dark without the company of known and trustworthy companions, restricting evening entertainment to well-known venues, and avoiding isolated areas when alone at any time of day. If you are a woman traveling in India, you are advised to respect conservative local dress and customs. Keep your hotel room number confidential and make sure hotel room doors have chains, deadlocks, and spy-holes. In addition, only hire reliable cars and drivers and avoid traveling alone in hired taxis, especially at night. Use taxis from hotels and pre-paid taxis at airports rather than hailing them on the street. If you encounter threatening situations, call “100” for police assistance.
