During Zardari rule, situation was far worst.
Iranian oil was as far as Karachi and Attock. Along side oil bitumen was also being smuggled.
There was corruption going on at every level.
In short Pakistan lost $billions in short span of time. It continued until it became so open that some cosmetic measures were taken by the officials.
I don't know, what's the situation now but you posted the news.

I know for sure, in Iran there's a limit to the amount of oil an individual can buy.
Without involvement of state, this would never go unnoticed.

Pak Iran border has been open from ever... I remember in 90's oil smuggling was also on rise, along side various other goods. Iranian motor cycles was one such product.... Benazir Bhutto appointed her clan in govt. offices, who were registering those motor bikes with some tricks.

We should take it seriously...in past it happens by smugglers with political support but now a days US, RAW proxies uses this money to wage war against Pakistan.

where is border control agencies and what are they doing?
The scale of smuggling looks wide spread. Shame for a country which exports border monitoring drones to USA yet our own border is left insecure. A little bit Ariel surveillance would bring this trade to halt..

Especially a sensitive region like Balochistan should be faring better on border control.
Do we want repeat of Kul Bhushan episode?

This is utter nonsense. Justifications in favor of Iran at defence.pk are nothing more than laughing stock among the educated people.

If you had read my post carefully, Iranian public can't buy unlimited quantity of oil within Iran, lowest price is quota based.

Even if there's a price difference... crossing border with oil tankers and than it's open selling purchasing in Pakistan only hint at rotten state and social structure.
I personally would not buy smuggled oil, even if it is sold 10pkr /liter less than regulated price by state of Pakistan.

Zardari was don of crimes...from China cutting to smuggled irani oil, lpg, diesel, even washing powder and cement...the collapse of industry we see today was sowed by Zardari..

So called Irani diesel being smuggled via Baluchistan is actually Jet Fuel and will ruin fuel pump or usual diesel engines...it is typically used in old diesel engines of IDI design where pumps are more forgiving as they do not operate on high pressure. Still then, it is suggested to mix 5-10% with 2-stroke oil for pump lubrication..
