The insanity of resuming cricket ties with Pakistan

.
What a stupid point of view... Sport should not be mixed with politics. It is actually a nice way to duke it out on the playing field instead of the battlefield.

Not resuming cricket will have zero effect on political issues, not like PCB has any say in the country's matters, and not like Pakistanis have stopped playing cricket despite India's meanderings behind the scenes.

If anything it will give an ego boost to the terrorists to go around and say "Dekha humari team se darr gaye".

If it hadn't been for 26/11--i dont think people would be as outraged. A lot of things changed after 26/11. The sense of outrage and betrayal among Indians--especially Mumbaikars--towards ALL pakistanis spiralled out of control.

Hawks thrive on these things. They use this to keep the pot boiling whenever everything seems to cool down every now and then.

If Pakistani state is even slightly responsible--i would tell them 26/11 was one of their greatest strategic blunders to date.

They singlehandedly crushed every 'peace mongers' and took out saner voices advocating greater magnanimity from the Indian side.

why dont we just ban all indians from PDF as well first, enough with this whiney crap in our own place

I agree with you here :D

we should not have any ties with Indians even on pdf or virtual world :P

Its not like duking it out on the field stops the terrorists from killing innocent civilians. As if the terrorists go, oh yay my team won in cricket so am not going to kill 150 Indian civilians today.

Exactly, neither is resuming the cricket going to have any effect, so why bother? Pakistan has many other countries it can play against so does India.

After all Indians have small heart and "hamari zehniyat hi aisi hai" so why are Pakistani cricketers desperate to join IPL or reinstate cricketing ties.

what collaboration?? indian terrorist responsible for samjhota killing is still not arrested nor tried

and what culprit? the only culprit of mumbai is having a joyful life in indian jails, the guy who said bhajwaan in the confession video
No conspiracy here but does Ajmal Kasaab seem to come from Pakistan? His accent is not even remotely similar to Okara type accent. That accent is very heavily Punjabi influenced.

And why are Pakistani investigators not allowed to meet him? Can any Indian please answer??!!!!!

Oh, another one! If there is bus accident in Mumbai or an earthquake somewhere, it will be blamed on Pakistan too, especially ISI.

I am no hawk but I am against resuming cricketing or any other ties with Pakistan. We need a closure for the Mumbai Terrorist attacks first.

India has nothing to gain by hosting Pakistan, its not like the jihadis will suddenly have a change of heart and will stop kill innocent Indians.

I agree with you. I dont want to see Pakistan players playing with or in India. Indians are petty. If we were like them, we would have never played against them after open terrorism they committed in East Pakistan. But we are magnanimous people. We tend to forgive with a heart with a belief that people to people contact bring the two countries together. But it is not going to be. India is an enemy and will remain that way.

By not playing cricket are we getting anything done from Pakistan. The answer is Nothing.

By playing cricket are we going to get anything?

Peace of mind, slightly better chance of getting anything done. Also we see some cricket.

So there is nothing wrong in playing cricket.

It is beyond my comprehension that how genius Indians relate terrorism with cricket? were ajmal kasab batsman or bowler? none.

Well Umar Gul's cousin was arrested on terror charges recently and Shahid Afridi's cousin was self-admittedly a mujahideen in Kashmir (terrorist in our parlance).

Moreover sports and politics are different is a hoax -- South Africa was banned from sports because of its apartheid policy and Zimbabwe was ousted because of its racial discrimination of whites there.

what collaboration?? indian terrorist responsible for samjhota killing is still not arrested nor tried

See we have not arrested and tried him.

So be a man, have some izzat and dont tour.

What a stupid point of view... Sport should not be mixed with politics.

Wrong Sport has always been mixed with politics. Examples are aplenty.

Correction. Umer Gul's cousin is a Medical practitioner who is running a clinic in Peshawar. He was not arrested but was interrogated by police because of the suspicion of giving medical aid to some wounded miscreants But after very short time he was all cleared. And i need some source of your claim about the Shahid Afridi's cousin. :what:

The wounded miscreant was Umar Gul's uncle Haji Daly, an active member of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Islam.

When India toured pakistan in six/seven years ago, what an warm response they received from the crowd. How will they response if india bans pakistan team to play here? Isn't it our responsibility to behave responsibly, taking the terror strikes happening in pakistan on daily basis into account?

same way as younis khan did......

Kill cricket, create terrorists, warns Younis
Younis Khan has appealed to cricket's administrators to save the game in Pakistan, or risk pushing future generations into the clutches of terrorists. The Pakistan captain fears that an extended boycott by touring teams could lead to a dramatic decline in interest and participation in cricket among the nation's youth. That, in turn, could invite corrupting influences to fill the void that might otherwise have been occupied by sport, Younis argued.

"Sport helps to make good human beings. If the sport is not there, the children can do silly things. We have to be very careful about that.
"Nobody wants to see children going down a bad path and finding themselves involved with bombs and things like that. We all must do something to stop that happening," said the Pakistan captain.
Younis expressed apprehension that international isolation would see cricket taking backstage in the country.
"Maybe in the future we will be alone (as a cricketing nation) and that would be very sad, especially for the youngsters.
