Turkey is legitimate in defending itself against attacks from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Britain’s top diplomat has said, calling on the militant group to cease its destructive attacks on Turkey while underlining the importance of stability in Southeast Anatolian for the wider region.

“We are clear the PKK have to cease their destructive attacks on Turkey. The loss of brave Turkish soldiers and police, and others caught up in the violence is tragic for this country. And we believe Turkey has a legitimate right to defend itself against the PKK. We hope, though, that Turkey will soon be able to return to dialogue in order to find a lasting peace. A stable southeast will be important not just for Turkey, but for the wider region,” British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond told the Hürriyet Daily News in an interview on Jan. 14.

There would be too much international pressure for our spineless politicians to handle. I'd recommend fire bombing Kandil.

That is what they really want. If you start bombing your own cities, what will be the difference between SE Turkey and Syria? It will legitimise there cause, and prove that Turkey is indeed in a civil war; hence more Kurds will rally to there cause.

That being said, an armed UAV (Bayraktar TB2) that will be able to use small and precise munitions is more suitable; collateral damage would be minimal and terrorists would never know when it will hit them.

Last 1 year , there were 2500-3000 pkk/ypg killed in Syria. You should also consider this number on top of it

We should support and motivate moderate Syrian rebels to fight against pkk and this number will be doubled. But first isis scums must be cleaned from North Halep

If we clean Northern Halep from ISIS, than we give a free passage to the YPG etc. Wich means they will kurdifice the region and try to expel all Arabs, Turkmens etc from that area. In other parts of Northern Syria this has already happened. The YPG wants to create a Kurdish dominated area from Iraq till the Mediterranean sea.
Turkeys first priority is getting rid off the YPG , PKK and affiliates. We must concentrate on this before trying to expel ISIS from these areas.

Yes but if rebels don't take these areas, ypg will! Isis surely lost momentum and they can not stand more, so before ypg captures, we should help rebels to capture north Halep, as we sadly didn't intervene when they crossed our red line (west of Fırat)
