The Fight against PKK Terrorism

Siirt district mayor unseated due to charges of aiding, abetting PKK

The Interior Ministry suspended the mayor of the district of Eruh in Siirt province, Eda Kilis, on charges of being a member of terrorist organization, as well as aiding and abetting a terrorist organization.

Kilis, who is a member of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), which is the regional affiliate of the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), was on trial for alleged involvement. Kilis was recently sentenced to two years in prison while the Eruh Alderman Salih Özer was also tried on the same charges.

Five other investigations were also launched into Kilis regarding "aiding and abetting a terrorist organization." The former Eruh mayor, Hüseyin Kılıç, was unseated by the Foreign Ministry on July 8 of last year due to statements of "so-called autonomy," leading Kilis to take over the position as she was elected by the municipal council.

Several DBP-led municipalities were previously accused of assisting the PKK in clashes with security forces in southeastern provinces. Southeastern municipalities administered by the DBP have been accused of aiding and abetting the PKK's urban war strategy of digging trenches and establishing roadblocks to claim control of cities. Heavy equipment belonging to municipalities were also put at the disposal of the PKK, according to claims.

In June, the DBP municipality in Siirt reportedly dug up roads to enable PKK terrorists to plant mines and paved it afterward so that the mines could be detonated when military vehicles passed by.

In April, the PKK was reported to be using garbage trucks belonging to DBP-run municipalities for recruitment and carrying bombs in the Nusaybin district of southeastern Mardin province, security forces said during operations in the conflict-ridden district.

In January, dozens of PKK arms and ammunition were confiscated in a tractor belonging to the DBP in the Dargeçit district of southeastern Mardin province by security officers. Also, according to a report released by the Van Police Department, from Aug. 9 to Aug. 18, 20 cell batteries, 100 kilograms of ammonium nitrate and other chemicals used to make bombs were found in a truck belonging to Van Municipality.

One of the perpetrators of the Feb. 17 car bomb attack in Ankara was killed in an operation in the southeastern province of Diyarbakıron June 30, security sources have said.

Mehmet Şirin Kocakaya, codenamed Şirin, was killed during a joint operation by soldiers and police officers in the Lice district and its environs.

The bomber was identified as Abdulbaki Sömer, who entered Turkey with a fake Syrian identity showing his name as “Salih Muhammed Neccar” in 2014, telling authorities that he had escaped Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) violence in Syria.

It has been also revealed that Sömer met Kocakaya after he arrived in Diyarbakır with a rented vehicle before the attack.

A total of 29 people were killed and dozens were wounded in the car bomb attack staged during the passing of a shuttle carrying military personnel on Feb. 17.

A splinter group from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (TAK), claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in retaliation for the situation in the southeastern district of Cizre and the policies of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turkish officials claimed that the perpetrator was a Syrian national from the Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG), which Ankara considers to be the Syrian offshoot of the PKK.

A total of 15 people were also arrested in connection with the attack.

PLZ guys you all know that you don't change the view of each other let's come back to topic everything is said already

M60A3 is hit by a ATGM in Sirnak, Title says that its "taken out". I personally think that the M60 was empty, plus why would they shoot at hat old M60A3 that can be easily replaced by another one, why wouldn't they shoot at the T-155 Firtina which is more expensive plus is more effective in mountains. Shows how stupid the PKK is, and all those hate comments my god does the internet hate us.

The real question is where do they get these ATGMs and We are in the same alliance that's helping YPG/PKK to blow up our tanks. Syria policy is failure

First of all, Sure they are well trained. First they disabled the tank which was more serious threat for them as they are near to the post. You can not use artillery especially T155 in such kind of short distance.(I believe that they attacked around 1-2 km distance max (if they didn't use Nikon long distance optics :-))

Second ,If you want to become more comfortable, just search "beytüşşebap lesleri" pictures on google / in last 24 hours and you will see what happened to those rats :-)

You guys should actually translate these videos and post them with english titles and subtitles.

People like winners and if all they see is PKK destroying turkish tanks/equipment they'll like them more and you less. You have to present that you're actually the ones winning this war (as well as showing videos of how the PKK is attacking local Kurds who aren't allied with them) otherwise the Western world will turn against you.

There is a war on the internet between the PKK and Turkey going on right now and currently the PKK is winning it.

I though it was a malyutka but it looks like a Kornet.Distance is less than 1km.Yes they are dead but we are losing more important things than theese rats lifes.

Unfortunately those pigs can come close to our outpost less than 1 km. This is unacceptable. How dare our soldiers take it so lightly? At least they put their lives in danger. I really don't get it.
