Nice try but the topic wasn't about the Ganga, you brought it up to insult us but whatever it happened a while ago.

Yeah because that is the only reason that comes to mind of why you deny Ganges civilization but try to lay claim to Indus civilization left and right.

who is denying ganga civilization....
ganga has been part of our tradition from the ancient time..and we cannot part away from it........
not now...not ever.....

Rajput has often being associated with bravery.

So are jatts, gujjars etc in Pakistan. Only punjabi dalits are left out and they make 4% of population at best, with 2% being Christians and rest muslims in Pakistan punjab.

Though rajputs has failed horribly everywhere in South Asia when it came to defending against invading forces. Their bravery if any is ancient. Only jats (punjabi jats and not others) were good enough to take fight back to Afghanistan. Central Punjab is majority jatt area in Pakistan. They are very proud of their identity as well despite being outside hindu caste system in ancient times. They don't need label from brahmins etc to be proud.

So as one can see there is no prestige at least in Pakistan being Rajput.

OK so then leave Indus to the people it actually belongs too. :smokin:

You understand why they need to claim to be the same as us right? They named their nation based on a river that runs its length through Pakistan lol. Nehru was trying to be smart because he figured Pakistan would collapse heck even their politicians were saying as much in the beginning and probably thought the river would return then it would all make sense lol. That is why Jinnah fought him over the name.

Jinnah didn't claim the name 'India' for his Muslim homeland Pakistan, he insisted India to take official name of Hindustan instead of India as he wanted to prove two nations originating out of India instead of Pakistan breaking away from India, India meant land of East of Indus and that defination still holds. BTW the name Yunan for Greece originated from 'Ionia' which now the part of Turkey. ;)

Well... Indus Valley was in parts of North West India and went as far as Uttar Pradesh so there is an Indian connection.

So it is a matter of prestige than?

Not when rajputs are not considered anything other then another tribe in Pakistan, Punjab. We are not talking about Rajasthan here where they might have some prestige.

Not really, Nehru stick with British name "India" to make known internationally.

You are crazy man, it was Rajputs who defended India for 500 years, it was Rajputs who halted Arab expansion past Sindh, it was Rajput women who committed jahrua when defeated. No other group of people could have held out for 500 years.

Nope India in ancient times meant the inhabitants of the Indus valley. When Darius conquered the Indus valley he claimed he had conquered India. Go look up his statement of the nations he had conquered. Greeks got the term from the Persians and they called the people Indoi, it was only years later when it started to denote lands passed the Indus.

Punjabi rajputs may have hold on against Arabs and continued Shahi Hindu kingdom. But the real danger came when Turkic people invaded and they couldn't do anything. And neither did rajputs of Rajasthan. Only jats not only defended punjab but toke fight back to NW areas.

The Indian sites are all small compared to Pakistani cites and have only been excavated by Indian archaeologists who obviously have an agenda considering they are uh Indian. Indians of today say these sites are from the Indus valley civilization but somehow the inhabitants of said civilization forgot how to build anything as they moved east right? LOL
