You do have a point, I just dread Bangladesh's film industry becoming a Little Bollywood. But, then again movies in the US are heavily commercialized as well, yet there is still a strong places of movies with artistic quality to them. Hopefully Bangladesh's film industry doesn't produce the same quality to crap ratio that Bollywood does if we allow this to happen.

Bollywood is absolutely horrid. Bangladesh must not use this model for anything it does regarding its film industry.

But I fear its too late. Even south Indian cinema (us Tamils pride on difference from Hindi heartland) shamelessly uses same garbage filthy model as bollywood. People are still too coarse, vulgar and cheap to demand something with more taste and quality.

Maybe there can be a Bangla-Tamil alliance in movie making to insulate from the Bollywood model and create an alternative space......problem is the cash will always remain with cheap bollywood for a very long time yet.

Let the free market decide what films should be shown in bangladesh. Without competition our film industry cannot revolutionize. Plus, People nowadays have internet, if you dont give them the stuff they want they will just take it from the web. Might as well show them in cinemas and expand our economy.

Honestly speaking, apart from movie directed by the likes of farooki, most of our movies suck in terms of both content and graphics. Plus there is a lot of death defying physics being involved.

Its not a joint venture film. Film's hero and heroine with producer went to Kolkata for training. So integration with West Bengal will left no BD culture in Bangladeshi film.
