The Battle of the Coral Sea - Animated

A large Japanese naval operation is launched to take the strategically important Port Moresby. Japanese and US Carriers play a dangerous cat and mouse game, both trying to find and strike each other without themselves being found.

Finally, after a cat and mouse search across the Coral Sea, the US and Japanese carrier groups find each other and launch large-scale air assaults to knock one another out. The balance of naval power in the South Pacific hangs in the balance.
