The ambitious proposal to counter India's water blackmailing games

No just next term of Modi... most probably end of this term.....
I don't think Pakistan will start a full scale war. India will also limit itself to assertive skirmishes in response to any future punitive actions from separatist elements.

India is heading towards civil war and in that scenario India don't want full scale war but Pakistan will start war limited to Kashmir and when India would started to loose they will try full scale....China will also tries to get few patches new the border ....In that situation.....

Soon India will became tiny micro nations around mighty big Pakistan...

And perhaps you need visa to even visit Punjab....all set just wait for the right time bro....

Good luck and Godspeed :pakistan:

How about moving some mountain ranges from the Chinese side to Pakistan side, it's a win-win for the two. For Pakistan, they'll get more glaciers, for China they get the monsoon winds blocked off by the Himalayas.

Only veDICK science can do this.

A better solution is to enlarge the canals. If we deepen the canals by 50 feet and broaden them by 50 feet on each sides, we will not need new dams. The canal system can store a lot more water. This solution will also address the rapidly declining indus basin aquifer and declining underground water levels.
First Canal is not an alternative of Dams because canal can't Hold water. Once Water released in Canals it will take hours or max a day to reach is point.
Second Point no you can't expand canals to 50ft in width from every where. First cost issue, it will effect road, poles etc second space issue at certian point in canal. You will need size throughout.
Third if you loss more water in canals your agri sector will pump more water from ground.
Fourth major consumer is agri sector. Bring sprinkling water prefered drip because its most efficent way.
Fifth we are agri based country. We need large amount of water. But our main source is Glacier/snow melting in Summer but we need water for other time as well + to save country from Flood disasters & long drought time Multiple dams(Water
Reservoir) is must.
Sixth Instead of wasting River water simply try to use other waters wastage and to raise water Ground level. e.g. Rain Water, Water
Filtration Plant(drinking water) & others where water is not contaminated throwing that water in to sewerage line is pure nonsense.

Every NICOP holder should be charged 10 units of his local currency to renew his/her card every year.
Similarly, every male citizen over the age of 18 must pay 100 ruppees to renew his NIC card every year.
Do you have any idea of cost involve to renew???? And how much it effect production by sending every person to Nadra again???? & can your nadra handle??? and last will people renew every year???
This will net the govt about 2 billion dollars every year. These funds should be invested in canal expansion project and creating solar panel manufacturing company in the country. Pakistan needs to manufacture solar panels on a large scale.
No it will not because its note even practical and you forget to include cost to produce those cards and workforce exp most importantly Its impact on economy.
You canal is neither practicle nor will you get required results from it. Reason mentioned above.
People already moving to Solar. Only thing Government can do to save economy is first Multiple mega Dams and second help factories to switch to Solar and other renewable Resources by giving soft or non interest loan for it. Our export edge was that like many developing countries our products were cheap but due to high energy cost we have lost that edge. Subsidies is not permanent solution nor we have unlimited resources for it.
Eventually, once the powers that be allow the most valuable commodity to change from oil to information, we could all have free energy. Free energy will mean unlimited de-desalination and reverse rivers - rivers flowing from sea to land.
Pakistan has massive potential in the form of Dams. And no reverse river is not even practicle. You can use pipe to move water upward using pump but cost is too high.
River/canal water are used in agri sector you simply can't pump that much water from sea and provide that to sindh and punjab.

u need go double chevk some facts, the amount of energy required to create potential energy in water by pumping it against gravity is huge and yherefore not practical ..
please make sure to think of sane statements

Might want to get some education before throwing your ego around to cover up ignorance.
What does pumping of water have to do with flowing with gravity? When was the last time pumping was happening in the direction of gravity and not against it? Why would we need pumping if gravity were to do its part?

Not practical? Might want to go and google and check the number of projects that are already doing that since early 20th century?

my bad. it should have said by losing potential due to elevation, turning potential energy into Kinetic energy which is on behest of gravity.
The links do not talk about getting water over the mountains or to higher elevation as part of water diversion... moving water from lower elevation to higher as part of diversion is an immensely costly project and unfeasible...
sorry between i am sure i am not ignorant and uneducated as you referred me to.

Oh bhai, Why do you assume the pipeline will be going atop mountains or having to elevated in the first place?
Do you believe the source of the river in question is at a lesser height (from sea level) than the mountains between it and river Indus in Pakistan?

NIC and NICOP cards should not have expiry dates on them. The renewal fee can be paid at any bank/consulate. Everything is electronic these days. No one has to replace any card.

Building Dams in a highly seismic area is not a good idea. Lots of nations store water in their canal system. The water does not go gushing out of a canal.

At present there isn't a tangible solution to deal with the problem with India looking to divert the natural flow of the indus river and potentially withdraw from the IWT entirely.

INDIA HAS NOT NOR IS IT GOING TO WITHDRAW FROM IWT. IWT has also a robust arbitration process which would not allow it. IWT would ALSO OPENLY proclaim any deliberate break in treaty.
So why does Pakistan continue with this charade. It interprets what is allowed to India as breaking the treaty. Even when it has been slapped in the face by the arbiters that NO egregious violation has taken place.
Pakistan hides its failure over 50 years in failing to ensure water security for Pakistani's by endlessly blaming India and failing to prove any breakage of the treaty.
Pakistan just has not cared about investing in water security. It has found it a lot lot easier to blame others

The only and only way to contain india is via balkanization of india. It's the solution to all problems, today is the right moment; if Pakistan's establishment won't cash it after US withdrawal from Afghanistan it will be existential blunder for Pakistan. Modi, hindutva, CAA, Kashmir... they just handed over the perfect circumstances to Pakistan on platter; now it's up to Pakistan to cash on it.
