Thailand leads ASEAN in 5G

Talking about Libya, why they are destroyed by US. Gaddafi stopped using US Dollar. He used gold. Those smaller and weaker country that refused to use petro dollar in the middle east are all attacked. In fact US Dollar is not money anymore since 1970s, it is a currency only, because to print money you need backup with gold. The value of USD is imaginary today. The still survive for now is because of the Swift system that is why Russian China Iran is not using USD as much as they can today. But these country is big that is why US dare not touch them.
If you hold USD now, it is kind of risky.

.
CN is not wealthy enough, shes just like Libya, GDP per capital reached $10,000, but still having too many poor ppl (China has over 600 million poor with $140 monthly income: Premier Li Keqiang) and we all know what happened to Libya when ppl get angry bcs they have No good enough jobs to survive.

Even if CN leader can avoid uprising like Libya, then CN will just look like big N.Korea, hopeless and no future wt population is just a haft of SK.

Automation also cant help CN economy against 25% tariff. Automation only make million CNese lose jobs while CN economy keep falling.

Winning a war without even firing a bullet is the best defense. True, but u only can do that when u r stronger, smarter than the enemy. VN and Malaysia (MY) are much weaker than mighty US and US also love acting like Mongol than trying to win without fighting (Put VN- CN on the money manipulation list, but Biden just removed VN from the list, forces EU stop using CN 5G, split CN into half (mainland vs TW) ).

What should we do when US love acting like Mongol ?? US will not collapse at least in 100 years.

Well today don't worry US will not be acting like Mongol. The world has become more multi polar. They attacked VN because of the cold war between socialism versus capitalism. In today world it is economy vs economy. CN is not spilt into half. KMT and the CCP had a agreement to this. Go find out why?
US will not act like a Mongol as they are now more worry their position taken by CN. Economically they are not as strong as before. The debt is mounting and dollar is in shaky position. Yes they may not collapsed in the hand of Biden but who knows, but their sphere of influence is reducing not because of other but US internally.

Above about semiconductor I already explained. In 2018 China market was hoarding chips, internally they want to use more how to export? See the world have shortages of chips now.

China is in neutral carbon program. They are increasing effort to increase the forest area. Furniture production is counter to this effort. Got it.

US attacked VN bcs she wanted to control SCS(east sea), not bcs of cold war. VN even wanted to be a "democracy" nation and hoped US would support VN against France....but US supported France to colonize VN again instead

--------------
They must see Americans as strange liberators. The Vietnamese people proclaimed their own independence in 1954—in 1945 rather—after a combined French and Japanese occupation and before the communist revolution in China. They were led by Ho Chi Minh. Even though they quoted the American Declaration of Independence in their own document of freedom, we refused to recognize them. Instead, we decided to support France in its reconquest of her former colony. Our government felt then that the Vietnamese people were not ready for independence, and we again fell victim to the deadly Western arrogance that has poisoned the international atmosphere for so long. With that tragic decision we rejected a revolutionary government seeking self-determination and a government that had been established not by China—for whom the Vietnamese have no great love—but by clearly indigenous forces that included some communists. For the peasants this new government meant real land reform, one of the most important needs in their lives.

For nine years following 1945 we denied the people of Vietnam the right of independence. For nine years we vigorously supported the French in their abortive effort to recolonize Vietnam. Before the end of the war we were meeting eighty percent of the French war costs. Even before the French were defeated at Dien Bien Phu, they began to despair of their reckless action, but we did not. We encouraged them with our huge financial and military supplies to continue the war even after they had lost the will. Soon we would be paying almost the full costs of this tragic attempt at recolonization.

Semiconductors and Furniture are suffering 25% tariff, not only Semiconductors selling to US is declining, but furniture, too. If US slap 25 % tariff to Iphone, I bet that Iphone will flee to VN, too.

Thats the reason why SK decided to open more Semiconductor factories in SK and US, not in CN, bcs they wanna avoid 25 % tariff and US's anger.

For me I am not in the support of furniture industry. But laminated wood is ok because it come from unwanted old rubber trees. However in my country there irresponsible people still cutting down trees illegally.
IPhone now is number 3. Samsung is number one best selling follow by Xiaomi, for me handset not a big deal. I am not a big fan of cell phones. I don't care what brand if they are good and cheap I buy it.
Tariff does not work trust me. We learned it in economy class. People will not innovate if thing is easily available.
Yes apple can moved anyway but they are still in CN. Why? Tesla aslo moved to China why? Most of the FDI in this world 2021 still move to China why? Because they are the biggest market even VN biggest export goes to CN. And apple might not be necessary moving to VN, could be other places right? Even without the tariffs one day when cost is high they will move somewhere. That is the cycle. Even our textile manufacturer moved to VN, Cambodia, Myanmar because company work to maximize profit. Tariffs are political tools, only the consumer suffered. Don't mix politic with business. Business always give goodies, Poliitic always give suffering.

Iphone is in CN bcs it hasn't got 25 % tariff yet. True, apple might not be necessary moving to VN, could be other places, but VN got FTA wt EU, VN is also not on the list of money manipulation, so VN is the best place for manufacturing if Iphone got 25% tariff.

Most of the FDI in this world 2021 still move to China bcs China scraps almost all foreign ownership limits for financial and car sectors, so investors like Tesla, BMW etc can earn more money instead of sharing the benefit wt local companies, but this policy doesnt help CN export more to earn more money.

Thats the reason why even when Most of the FDI in this world 2021 still move to China, but there r still so many poor CNese (China has over 600 million poor with $140 monthly income: Premier Li Keqiang). Bcs actually CN economy is still declining under trade war, CNese dont have enough money to raise their kids, leading to population declining, too.

-------------------

HONG KONG -- China has scrapped foreign ownership limits in almost all areas of its $45 trillion financial sector, taking the country a step closer to its long-promised "big bang" reforms, but experts warn that steep obstacles still remain for foreign players hoping to crack the world's No. 2 economy.

As of Thursday, foreign investors can fully own business in everything from insurance to brokerages.

For apple to move out it is not easy as just the tariff alone. Apple is just an integrator. The supply chain meaning the vendor that provide them parts is the most important. These vendors all are in China. If apple want to move they need to consult these vendors. Yes some of the parts you might find other vendor outside China but the cost and worst some of these parts can be produce by only the Chinese company to start everything from sketch it is not as easy as you think. Supply chain does not involve manufacturing only. It also consider transport, skills, know how, sustainability, etc

Yes there is still poor people in China. But they are the only country having program to alleviate poverty and they successfully pull everyone out from absolute poverty. I think they had done a great job. Yes another quarter not 600million is poor but not so poor until no house to stay like in US homeless people. They are mostly in the remote area of China. That is why China is building roads. Many been displaced to newly built housing area with utilities. You can read from world Bank report no other country has done that before. That is why Pakistan want to do the same. Your system is almost the same like CN. I believe there should not be homeless people on the road side right? And in US medication is not free. In this matter CN and VN and Mal beats them we are more human than them.
Don't think US is all rich I have my education in US and worked there for sometimes. Today if you asked 500 dollar cash out from 65% of the population they are not able to do that.

Huawei is not just a handphone company they are still doing well. Believe they will make a come back if not this year but years to come depending whether they want developed the software part. The chips definately they can do it. And the feasibility if it still can be profitable for handset business.
Forget China I feel sick listining to everyday a year ago was Huawei Huawei Huawei. Bullshit.

If you think US can help then we go philipines.

Look at philipines a colony of US. If US is not evil at the end why the philipines kick them out from the subic bay. Look at America and South America contenent which is near to US. Except Canada the rest is quick basically a low and the best is still middle income country. Even though they are democratic but also in some big dung. Even today Hawaii is seeking independent they wanted a referendum but was kicked out of this idea.

Talking about poverty what has we Asean have done to help our poor? However the most developed country in the world the US is also not doing for its people rather they developer their weapons industry to kill more.

"United States (US) has the fourth-highest poverty rate at 17.8 percent.
Whereas the poverty rates of some countries in Asia are as follows; (1) China has 0.6 percent; (2) Japan 15.7 percent; (3) India has 21.9 percent; (4) Vietnam has 6.7 percent; (5) the Philippines has 21.6 percent; (6) Malaysia has 5.60 percent; (6) Indonesia has 9.80 percent; (7) Thailand has 9.90 percent; (8) Cambodia has 17.70%; (9) Lao has 18.30% and (10) Myanmar 24.8 percent."

VN government has any poverty program?
In Malaysia we have but targeting the wrong group just like US making the rich richer :)

Of course we have some social assistance for low income families (help them to build houses, support money for raising cattle, help poor kids to go to school etc ).

Sometime, u can not trust on some statistics, specially abt CN and NK . For example , NK say there are No covid cases in NK. CN Poverty rate is 0.6 % but PM Li admit China has over 600 million people whose monthly income is barely 1,000 yuan (USD 140) and their lives have further been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

600 million poor people is almost half of CN population.

U are wrong , bro. Rich Cnese loves money only. When Trump threatened to slap 25% tariff on CN auto parts, Cnese part suppliers quickly close the factories manufacturing parts to export to US and flee to VN to open new auto part factories.

So, if Iphone got 25% tariff, then Apple will move to VN and they dont have to worry abt the suppliers, bcs those vendors will flee to VN ,too.

Chinese Suppliers Are Moving To Vietnam
Want proof Vietnam is the next big thing in Asia? Look at what domestic manufacturers in the area are doing. Chinese manufacturers are on the lookout for lower labor costs, and they're able to save as much as 2/3rds by shifting manufacturing to Vietnam. If you've dealt with a Chinese manufacturer in the last ten years, there's a chance they've started producing in Vietnam and moving part of their operations there.

The larger your Chinese supplier is - the more likely they've outsourced some of their production to Vietnam. Many Chinese manufacturers are now "double-dealing" and manufacturing part of their production in China while manufacturing the rest in Vietnam. Some Chinese companies keep their main production lines in China while manufacturing small parts in Vietnam, while others have completely moved their factories to Vietnam.

If you've worked in China for a long time and are accustomed to dealing with Chinese suppliers - this knowledge will prove useful in Vietnam as many cultural nuances are the same in both countries. Chinese are also influencing Vietnamese suppliers and passing down knowledge to the workers. It's not uncommon to walk into a 5,000 person factory in Vietnam and find out 500 workers are from China.

We at Cosmo Sourcing find that most mid-level managers in both countries are fluent in 3 languages: Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. Transferring manufacturing from China to Vietnam is a relatively straight-forward process. If you have specification sheets, product documentation, and checklists written in Chinese/English - you'll find it easy to translate them to Vietnamese.

China is building roads mainly for creating jobs for those workers who lost jobs from Samsung, Foxconn, Luxshare, CN auto part suppliers which moved to VN and other nations to avoid trade war.

Thats why CN debt keep rising, bcs building road , HSR cost lots of money when those roads make almost Zero profit .

10 Facts About Poverty in China (borgenproject.org)- statistic from US.

1622216427360.png

Poverty in China - Wikipedia- from US.

You must know there is 2 types of poverty- One is without basic necessities like clothing, a place to stay and daily food- absolute poverty.

Another type is insufficient income- in rural area in China, the government built them new house for accessibility to more developed area so that the children can attend school - school is free plus food is also free. So CN has eradicated absolute poverty. The next program is to raised their income. That is why now if you go to china you will see many type of agriculture product from the rural area. Basically they are farmers. They can live with little money because they don't need to pay for food.
This program is not easy many officer around 2000 get killed because some living in the mountain are against the program. You can search in google to see their program very interesting. Some live in the mountain no road need to climb 8 hours to reach their village- no electricity, water supply, etc.

Just like Malaysia we still have people that live in the jungle using blow pipe to hunt, if you ask them to move out they will kill you with blow pipe. These people in fact they don't need money they survive in the jungle.

And the statistic I gave to you just now is from Asean Dr from Philipines not from China.

Have you been to US and CN? Then you will understand what is called absolute poverty and what is poverty.

I have not visited Vietnam yet I will come one day.

I am not wrong my bro, CN already invested in VN before even the tariff. Not rich Chinese only love money all capitalist love money. China is still the largest manufacturing country in the world. Yes some move to VN because they want to escape the tariff , other reason than the tariff, VN labor is cheap, VN is near, VN has the same system similar to their. When US put on tariffs they also considered many aspect. If I am still alive (Afraid I die before the 5 years due to total nuclear war) in another 5 years you will see no effect. CN will be the same. Besides the biggest automobile market is CN, not US. You sound like now CN everyone is exiting CN- sound more like Indian Media. hahaha . Another bet if VN successful make a car that can hot sell in the world your company will have the biggest plant in CN take my world . Just like GMC their biggest factory is in China. Biggest market also in CN. Tesla largest factory also in CN. Why? Vendor Availabilities.
And as business grow people will diversify .

Don't you watch news Trump had long discussion with Apple CEO during the trade war? Why they don't put the tariff? Because it is going to hurt Apple more. Even the ban on Huawei is also a lost to US, not just Huawei. See till today CN 5G they already installed 80% coverage that is why they have all autonomous driving car. Whereas US is struggling with 5G they are getting from Europe that is going to be expensive. And they need to pay patent right to Huawei as Huawei hold many 5G patent rights. That s why Elon Musk is thinking to have 5G using many micro satellites, this technology you need to use satellites disc instead put on every vehicles and when raining time you lost signal. Hence I think it will not be carried out. So basically till today US is still playing catching up. That is why I told you tariffs and protectionism works at the lost of the consumers.

Belt and Road the mass media said it is a trap is nonsense. It never forces you. So now CN invest in Vietnam it is a threat ? It bring good or bad to the country, you see for yourself.

Also told you before what VN is experiencing is what we MA and SIN experience 30 years ago. Don't get too emotional like the Indian. Mass media loves to make sensational. That is why people is saying news today cannot be read full of fake pretext filled with unproven fact.

.

Also wrong. So meaning Germany is also poor? The entire EU is poor? CN give free food and free education to their poor kids. When people get wealthier they have option to go for holidays, hobbies, lavish life style, that is why they don't want commitment. Some western country the population is declining not even growing so what is the problem? In my country people living in the village is having more kids than urban area why?
In the village don't have much entertainment only can have sex. - that is the main reason. As a society progress , the requirement change. Same here in Mal, my grandfather time one family 12 siblings, my parent time 2-4 kids, now 1-2 kids. Children now at 2 years old already playing with Ipad. My time I ran around the village, most of the toys make by myself. If you don't believe travel to more countries see the trend. When I was young during school holiday only can visit local area for holiday. Today everyone is travelling oversea when they have holidays. That is different.

May I ask how old are you? Want to be friend. Do you have a facebook account? I only so far had one VN friend that live in the US.

Let me explain something.
China and other Asian countries are totally different than western countries. Chinese still have hometowns because most urban population are first generation of urbanization. The living expenses have wild spreads between mega cities and small cities. So basically there is no homeless. If a person cannot make it in the city, he can go back to hometown. Anyway, job is not an issue if a person wants to work. Although some rural people don't have high cash income but they spend less on cash. They have small pieces of land for food and vegetables. They are able to raising chickens or pigs etc. Many people work part time or cash based jobs. Many are not counted into GDP or wages. It is very difficult to know exactly how much money Chinese make.
China doesn't need USA level GDP per capita to live the same life standard. 2k usd will be enough. If you look the how many Chinese are able to afford oversea traveling (vacations), you should have an idea China's GDP is understated. Chinese GDP only have accurately counted middle to large businesses. They just do an estimation of smaller businesses by taxes. Small retail businesses don't have cash registers, there is no way to get the real numbers. Factories are more likely to have good number because the sales are all invoiced using tax authority issued booklets. Rental income from individuals are also not counted into GDP.
China doesn't have personal tax system like the developed countries. Only employees get taxed because they have formal sources. In the theory, people have income over certain amount needed to file the return in the end of the year but it is not very firmly implemented. I don't think they have enough personal to audit tax returns.
Just imagine, China didn't give free cash to everyone during the lockdown last year. Over the two months, many people didn't have income because they didn't have formal jobs that pay by months. Many companies cut the salary by half during those non working months. Nobody died of hunger. I am sure there are some people without much saving. Those people were taking care by giving free food etc. Most Chinese can live on savings for a few months. If you do this in USA I am sure many people will have trouble.
