I doubt it but I'm confident that we'll beat China. We don't rely on industrial espionage like China does. We built many technologies from ground up.
Lol, that's a lot of confidence for a country which has never develop jet fighter before. I bet that you also confident that you can beat Warren Buffett in terms of investment return once you start your own investment.
None of it matters, If we looked at the Greek economy, If we looked at the population statistics etc. we would conclude that Greece should have a comparable defence industry to Turkey.
Spoiler alert: They don't.
It matters not if they have 1 billion or 15 billion populace. If it mattered India would be a superpower too and Israel would be a failed state like Syria.
I have full confidence in TFX. I think we have what it takes to make it happen and beat the J-20. Only question is when.
Bilateral trade tells alot about two country's relative competitive advantage. Look at bilateral trade statistics between China and Turkey

Turkey exports to China mainly consists of raw materials, minerals, agricultural products. Whereas China exports to Turkey mainly consists of machinery, electrical equipment, chemicals, pharmaceutical products. So Turkey exports low value added primary products to China, China exports high value added finished products to Turkey. This pretty much sum up the two country's position in global value chain.
